    Warming up

Well im fairly new to the drums i have some rhythm etc. But when i start playing them my joints get all stiff and such. Id like to know any exercises to loosen r joints and some tips on warming up before playing the drums. Also does anyone have any tips to have more control when i guess its called like speed drumming lolz. Because i can hit the drum straight on and don't do rim shots its just my drumsticks will often hit each other and screw me up.

They taught us drums in school, and every time you learn a new song and play it for the first time you're going to be stiff. Once you get used to the song you break out of stiffness, if you're stiff all the time then I don't know what to say, just relax I guess, don't be nervous and don't be afraid to mess up, it's just practice.
