Responsive Layout

As responsive and dynamic layouts are currently coming up alot, I found this suggestion interesting.
Tablet and phone users are growing incredibly fast and it might be a nice addition to the site, making it easier and more accesible on multiple platforms.
What are your thoughts?

 

What is a dynamic layout? Like it switches to mobile version when on phone?>

 

Sizing and placement of elements will be changed when viewers are viewing it on a different resolution.
Look it up on google or something to find a better example.
This doesn't mean that there have to be multiple themes for phone and tablet users, but that the site would automatically switch to "phone mode" when visitting it on a resolution that only phones use.
This is more lightweight and easier to use compared to having seperate themes for other platforms.

 

I think he meant that when you touch the screen it responds with an animation or such, like if you have a water wallpaper/background on an android phone and you press it its gonna move or such.

 

There are mobile conversion suites out there for vbulletin, thank god, because I for one have experienced first hand the horror of coding mobile sites (from existing ones).

 

I don't support the entire site responsiveness because of the logistical problems of having to change it over, but it would be nice to get a function to automatically shrink images that hit a certain limit and only increase their size if you click them.

 

At the moment, I really have no problem with viewing Sythe from my browser. Unless the whole community puts it to a successful vote, I'm fine with it as is.

 

This layout has come really good for my tablet lately, not sure why :X

 

The layout for phones / other browsers is fine for now. Denied.
