Designing a site for me and a friend, i'll post the work as i make it in this thread:

The navigation will have a small chunk of text like the 'about me' text shown, when it is hovered over.

The large thumbnail in the latest design area will show larger when clicked through lightbox or a lightbox variant.

The small arrows will swap between different designs and their descriptions.

Yeah you use that pattern in almost all of your webdesigns. You need something new.

also the sans-serif font counteracts the elegance of the pattern and the little flourish

it's a completely new pattern from the other ones i used, and my partner wanted the same style i used in the past anyway.

i think i understand jansen, the elegance of the pattern would be much more visible if the title was a serif font. otherwise i like it.

Where do you get your patterns? or do you make them your self?
