VPN/VPS for Runescape

Hello all,

I'm looking for a client which I can get a dedicated static IP used for logging in RS- not for botting. Does anyone have clients that can successfully run the RS client? Thanks.

 

I use nVPN, its not very expensive and they give very good quality/speed.
I can even play CoD over my Russian VPN.
They use the software OpenVPN, this means that all your applications will be routed through the VPN and you will need to use a Virtual Machine if you want to use your real IP at the same time.

If you just want runescape to have a different IP you could use a proxy and either set it in the browser settings (java will use the browser settings) or add the proxy to java itself.

 

Does the IP stay the same? Are you able to always select the same server?

 

I used to use Overplay VPN, I know you can select any server they have in any country. I think they used to run a free VPN server but I think it's taken down now as people kept abusing it.

Yes the IP stays the same, even when you have a shared ip.

You can only switch country once.

Slightly off topic but are you doing this to avoid the 6 hour logout timer?

 

I use OverPlay VPN for many purposes. Very satisfied.

 

How would that help avoid the 6 hour thing?
Only way to avoid that is to refresh the page somehow.
