VPN question

Thinking about purchasing a vpn. But had a few questions beforehand. Not sure if this is the correct section. But i seen the word help.. so here it goes.

1. While downloading under my vpn can my isp still detect what I'm downloading or can i rest assured that i wont get harassed for downloading.
2. Can i use my von on more than one computer.

 

The ISP can still see that you are downloading, but depending on whether or not you encrypt the traffic between you and the VPN will determine how deep they can look.

and usually.

 

1) It really depends on the encryption protocol being used. If your encryption key is extremely secure, then you shouldn't have a problem with your ISP. They may question you on the extreme amount of encrypted downloads from your system, but that never amounts to anything.
To tell you the truth, unless your ISP really has something against you, they will never devote man hours into tracking down the source of your download, but it is very possible to do so.
2) Most VPN's allow for this.

 

So... pretty much my isp can still track what I'm downloading. Or just that ive downloaded Alot of something??? Just wanna be sure before i do anything

 

If it is encrypted, they will not be able to see WHAT you are downloading, but they can still see the AMOUNT of data being downloaded.

They wouldn't try to crack the encryption, but if they did, the more secure, the better.
