A Free Market section would allow people to offer services and goods to people who are willing to take/try them. This would allow for new sellers to offer free "Trial" periods. This is great for new sellers because we need vouches before we can actually start making good progress.

For example, If I am offering a free trial period for my services, a proper place to put these "Free" services would draw more attention.

Would create way too much forum clutter - just keep an eye out for the "[FREE]" advertised in the title of other users' topics or in your case add it so others can see that you're offering free services.

I already have a thread made right now, do i just request it to be deleted and make another? cause i cant change the title of it (the title that shows in the thread list) and also, how would it cause to much clutter?

I think it would bring all the "free" services to one area for people to browse instead of having to search through everything. adding sub free services wouldnt be hard. same way they add sub areas for runescape market or wow market.

Whilst I know that when you're starting out it's difficult to get started because of all of the other users who are already more 'trusted' having threads in the same place, as Panicjsp said if you put free in your title, then you're going to get at least a glance from someone if they need the service you're offering.

tl;dr Not worth it in my opinion, no need.

Edit: To change the title, click triangle in the top right of the post to report the post, then request the title be changed to whatever you want in that report.

Just PM a Staff Member and they will fix it up for you. (Preferably a Market Moderator or Moderator)
(You can find the staff list here: http://www.sythe.org/community-general/1156371-sythe-org-staff-list-changes.html)

Edit: Or you can do as DipperBaby has posted.

We already have User Services broken into categories, makes it easier for new members to find the service they are after, or the service they want to offer.
The more basic, the better - the more we delve into specific subcategories the more the forum becomes cluttered.

Yea I guess, I have seen it implemented on other forums and found it nice that I could just go there and see various free services. but to each there own, some places it works, some it doesnt. Thanks for the responses :p

I'm not sure this is a good idea. Users having to work hard to obtain vouches isn't necessarily a bad thing. Doing a few free odd-jobs shouldn't make you a trustworthy user, and to be honest the system we have in place at the moment doesn't prevent you from offering your services for free; I see most Newcomers who open a service shop advertising "first x-amount of users get free y-service!".

    I don't support.
