Vouches for free user names

My suggestion is to not allow people to use/get vouches for giving out free user names. User names can be created in the matter of seconds and doesn't really contain any trust.


Now this person is a prime example of the free user name vouching. He has gotten about 15 vouches in 2-3 minutes for giving out free names. Even more he asked them to post it on his Middle man thread to show that people have trusted him on his thread. He may not be scammer but it produces a false sense of trust

Also isn't this the same with no vouches for gfx?

 

I believe vouching for free things is already against the rules, and can possibly result in a TWC (if I'm not mistaken).

Also the people who get vouches given like:

Guy A: Pin Seller
Guy B: Pin Buyer

Guy A Sells Guy B A Pin. Guy B Goes first and pays the full amount, and then receives the Pin off Guy A.

Vouches like these shouldn't be allowed. When Guy B Will ask for a vouch, when no trust was needed from him at all, as Player A wasn't risking anything.

Giving away an account isn't a service.


There a difference between a staff vouch and a free name vouch. What trust do you have of a person who gives you a free item worth about 50 cents? Compared to a moderators vouch, vouching for somebodies trustworthiness.

I have a few vouches for names on my vouch thread i will admit, but a mod got onto me for it, so i quit with the whole business together before anything got out of hand, but i agree with this for skill training its okay cause its a service, but free names for a cheap way of vouches isn't that good.

Vouches are given when you trust someone...giving out free names takes a few seconds as you mentioned... I think you shouldn't be able to give a vouch for anything that's free.

By just looking at a vouch, you can determine the value of it. Being so, I don't think a free vouch nor a 1-10 dollar vouch, is going to make anyone trust this fellow anytime soon. We all have the ability to read, and the ability to tell the difference between a penny from a one hundred dollar bill. So I think the rule should be vouch templates, for an example;

VOUCH FOR : user name
Value = xx.xx $$$$

This way, we can see things more clearer and skip through the garbage a lot faster. If you just trust the person over how many vouches he/she has, rather than what the vouches are for then this might not matter to you as much.

They arn't vouching saying im trustworthy. They qare vouching saying i gave them a free rs username.

Thanks for the free advertise. All i am doing is giving people something for free. Because there is no reason you should have to pay for usernames such as those. And there is no where i am requesting a vouch. Its just an additional pm link.

And you guys also saying shouldn't be able to give out a vouch for something free. Well then that sucks to all those free skill trainers.

Since the object is free and a vouch is meant to show somebody that you trust him/her, it doesn't make sense since no trust happened. Also by posting it on a Middle Man thread you try to show that people have trust in you. Hence the title change from 17 (real vouches) to 34 (half free vouches). Not saying you're a scammer but it does bring a false sense of trust.

Thats why i told you. I use my middle man thread for vouches. Take a look at it know and tell me if i did good.

I was not doing that for the vouches. I made a thread using those names and tried selling noone bought. So the i thought about it. And noone wants to pay for names like those. since there not like "Love" or "Blood" So i decided to give them out for free. I thought i would only get about 5 costumers. But turns out i got like 20
