Vote To Demote Staff

No support. When I was on staff the majority of work I did was behind the scenes; staff members saw a lot of it but regular users would not have - I posted a couple of threads in community general outlining some of the things I did now and then.

Also, a lot of users disliking a staff member doesn't necessarily mean that they're bad at their job.

 

Support. Have had my own fair share of moments in which I thought "this guy shouldnt be a moderator" but the only response you are currently getting on that is "lol you salty" instead of a serious conversation.

 

This isn't about disliking, this is about voting to unmodding staff members who are corrupt and letting the community open a vote and have it sent directly to richard if a large amount of the community agrees that they are corrupt for example.

 

Support, slimming down the staff team would be very good all around.

 

This is a very stupid idea. The average Sythe user is a fucking idiot, and definitely doesn't need to be anywhere near administrative decisions. (Especially with such a witch hunt mentality in the spam forum.) This would only oust people who are both shitty mods and unpopular. They're probably on their way out anyway.

Yeah, except people are going to vote against staff members they don't like, even if they aren't corrupt. This isn't speculation. I guarantee it.

 

Like the idea, wrong way to implement it. I believe staff members should be held accountable for their actions (from the community), but this would promote too much chaos.

 

All petitions would need valid reasons to be opened and the owner of the site would have the final say, i feel like a broken record lol

 

Full support. It seems as if @Sythe has forgotten about or abandoned the admin rotator system when we need it most.

 

Only situation I ever see this ever occurring is if a vote of no confidence is implemented for staff members in extenuating circumstances in which they believe other staff members should be removed. Not a lynch mob going after the target of the day.

I don't see this being anything more than a popularity contest; if you don't like how a staff member is performing, post on their feedback thread. If there are genuine concerns, contact a staff member above them; going to the highest level if needed. If the grievances are legitimate, they will be addressed in some form.

I would also really appreciate a PM compiling a report on every corrupt staff member so they can promptly be removed.
