Wait, why do people get to change entries half way through? That doesn't make too much sense to allow people to change entries in the middle of a contest.

Sythe had PMed me about a post I made on this thread saying that my entries included rough edges and other mistakes I hadn't noticed in the first place, he sent me a PM saying I could submit a refined entry.
I might have misunderstood the point of it as I was allowed to refine the logo as it wasn't completed, obviously some of you might disagree, others agree.. Whatever, I don't want to get into another discussion because of this.
I'm kind of confused aswell as I had been given the chance to update it because of the fact it just was not done, I assumed Moonglare's entry was completed, I might be wrong though.. Not sure.
Lets just wait for a post of Sythe himself for clarification I guess.

Edit: Sythe has clarified his point on the matter, I assume a post on this matter will be posted asap.

 

They're not changing the entries entirely, just making updates to their existing submissions. This contest is intended to be used to obtain the best possible logo/bg for sythe. It's not supposed to be a popularity contest as you are all making it out to be. It's meant to improve sythe's visual appearance.

 

This exactly. A few people I've seen voted for Kins merely because he was able to change it/add the holiday additions. This is unfair as other artists are able to refine their work and add holiday themed ones, but until they've been completed, Kinae gets several other votes which is unfair.

This whole competition has been a shambles really.

The current voting is unrepresentative of peoples' preferences. This is due to the fact that one person may like a background made by one person but then a logo made by another person but then he only has one vote. This vote would show that he likes the logo and BG of that one person he votes for, leaving the other person out. It's flawed.

Not to mention the ability for them to be able to change their submissions mid competition, swaying the votes mid competition which is unfair.

I vote to stop this and admins pick the winners.
It IS Sythe's site so wouldn't it be normal for him to pick it along with other admins?

This just isnt fair because clearly people are voting for their friends rather than a good logo.

Please consider this...

People come and go so it should be sythe who chooses as he ll be here for a long time, till the end.

 

160 people didn't vote for entry 1, more than 2 times as many as voted for it. (as of this post.)

I assume this will have a second voting stage?

A few days ago, #3 was the one that stood out of them all and made me say "wow" out-loud. It just suits the "Sythe style" far out.

With #1 though having the other additions, now it is a really tough choice. Hope there will be another poll for the final 3 with the highest votes right now.

For now, I am voting for #3 as I do believe it fits Sythe. The seasonal ones though should have the same color scheme "gold/yellow" as the original banner that is in place.

Kinae did an amazing job at re-working his entry and looks amazing now!

EDIT:

Kin thought of using holiday themed logos when he 1st started, it's the other artists problem for not thinking about making holiday themed ones, he edited the way he had made them in the 1st place, he didn't just add holiday items with his re-vamped logo.

Making a poll with the three highest voted ones is a good idea. That way, it's easier to see the top entries and vote accordingly, this thread is huge and at times people re-made their entries or whatever.

A quick poll with the top three would ensure the right one is picked.

 

Kind of stupid to allow edited work in. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would want to change their vote but can't.
