Void Deflector or Rune Defender

As some people may know, I'm making a Void Staker.. I've never seen one and I thought I'd try and make one.
Stats I'm planning on:
70 Attack
90 Strength
42 Def/Mage/Range
22 Prayer
82 Combat


Void Deflector replaces a piece of the void set. I'm wondering if it's worth getting the deflector and wearing Regen Brace instead of full void + Rune defender.
Deflector can be replaced with any item (minus helms) though. I could wear full void and a Rune platebody..

So, thoughts?

 

Make sure you quest that defense so you can get barrows gloves. Void gloves are fucking worthless for anything so I would replace those.

 

I don't quest, nor do I plan on it. The account is already 42 defence and was before I even thought about staking on the account. (Formally an obby tank)

I'd instead use Regen Brace, if I were to replace the gloves.

 

Firstly you have to work out everything. For eg, find out rune plate body's defense + void deflector and compare it to the rune defender + void body bounses.

Of course, the defender gives you attack bounses and strength. I would say this would vary with your opponent.

 

I'd say keep deflector over defender, and swap void body for rockshell/spined armour depending on what combat style you are using (spined gives +15 ranged atk) and what combat style your opponent is using (rockshell gives much better defense bonuses).

All fremmnik armours require only 40 def to wear.

 

i'd keep the deflector and swap void top for torso.
just my opinion.
torso=rune platebody with str.

 

You could try the agile top or use a torso instead.

 

Agile's stats are worse than the void top, so that would be somewhat redundant.

 

void deflector and barrows gloves will get you alot further than rune defender

 

Bgloves and deflector I can't see a void pure being amazing in stakes though.

 

I'll look at the stats for the Spined Armor. Also, the whole Torso might be a good idea..
Barrows Gloves aren't going to happen, if anything it'll be a Regen Bracelet.

If it's not a good staker, I'll simply make it into a zerker, or a Barrows pure.

 

I think defender but that's imo

 

Spined armours' stats are only as good as Green d'hides'.

Whatever you do, don't use spined.
