Vocational options.

Okay guys, i'm heading into my 2nd year of electrical engineering technology and i have a problem. I don't know what i should specialize in.

I can specialize in;

Power systems, Digital Signal and Image Processing, Control and Automation, and telecommunications. Or i can take a general, (Little bit of this, and a little bit of that), and do the bridge-to-university.

As i pretty much love, and find these all equally interesting, i was wondering what your guys takes are on these choices.

I'm pretty much guarrenteed a job if i graduate from the diplima course with a specialty. I also don't really want to go back to school for 2 more years. I'd rather work for a few years, then go back.

 

Personally I'd stay for another 2 years. However you should do what makes you happy. Out of the choices which is your favourite? You can't like them all exactly the same.

 

I agree with Shoop, but I would personally say Telecommunications. It is a huge and growing field that will probably always need workers.
