Hi guys, I'll try to keep this as concise and as organised as possible.

As both of these scam reports happened around the same time, I have assumed that they both contributed to me being banned.

Description: I was buying an Xbox LIVE account from Recidivism. I began the recovery process and the information provided was invalid, so I requested the information once more to clarify. After a discussion, he stated that he'd recover the account and then provide me with the details. Afterwards, he states that the email has been changed. I request the details from him again, at which point he began to accuse me of scamming. I had begun to get frustrated at this point, and I told him that I will not pay him unless he is able to give me to details in order to access the account. He then stated he'd be posting a scam report against me.

Description: I sold a Runescape account to .:Goreonius:.. He contacted me a few days later requesting that I refund him the money for the account, which I declined. He posted a scam report a week later claiming that I had recovered the account, without contacting me. After I was banned, I contacted him to state I would pay him the money, and got the response that I did. I know it may seem somewhat suspect that this would happen, but I think could perhaps carry on into the next point I would like to discuss.

Since my 2 pardons in 2013, I've spent a lot of time thinking about this and following Farcast's thread that was posted alongside my second pardon: http://www.sythe.org/spam-forum/165...nd-users-fuckery-shouldnt-allowed-pardon.html and FireZ's post in my second pardon thread: http://www.sythe.org/12975692-post6.html I came to the conclusion that there must be something that I was linked to which I was unaware of. Since speaking with Farcast, I found out that Shane was Sigex, and I realised that it must be linked to the screenshot that was posted to the Staff Lounge of me asking the user if he knew how I could contact Sigex. I know exactly how this looks, but speaking with complete honesty, I was curious as to why he was known to the extent he was. I did eventually find his MSN. I asked him a few questions, I can't remember what, to which he didn't answer and attempted to phish my email. I called him a fag (I admit, not the best response, but this was 2009) at which point he blocked me. I found out about the screenshot through staff I knew at the time who let me know about it, but I wasn't concerned about it at the time, since I wasn't thinking about my image. I do not believe that there could be any more evidence of my link to Sigex other than this screenshot as that was the only brief contact we ever had. If I am wrong with this reasoning and FireZ reads this, please let me know if you can about what I have done which caused the reaction it did.

Proof of contacting victims: Both users are now banned from Sythe, I do not believe it's possible for me to contact them to further discuss what happened.

Anything you weren't banned for but want to confess now: As I highlighted in my previous pardon appeals, I have ban evaded since being banned.

If you ask me why I've ban evaded, I can only give you guys the answer that I miss Sythe. I joined the community when I was 14 in 2007. I spent the next 2 years quite literally growing up here alongside everyone. I'm 21 now, studying at university, and I will never be able to forget what it's like as it's a part of me. I made the accounts I did because I missed what it was like to be here. I admit that I caused my fair share of dispute and controversy in the community, and I can only say that what's it's like when a teenager going through a difficult age spends all of his time here. I remember how much fun I used to have, and how many friends I made. I wasn't a popular kid in my school at the time, and spending time here was a complete opposite of what it was like for me in school. I still talk to a lot of people who I met here, such as DorianKing, and Chantecleer. I would honestly say that Chant is one of my best friends. We've never met in real life, but I speak to him for multiple hours everyday over Facebook. He knows more about me than anyone else who knows me in real life does, and I have Sythe to thank. I missed a lot of people, and while I was ban evading, I thought it would make me feel like I was part of the community again. It did, but it didn't have the effect I was after. I couldn't be myself, because I was constantly in fear that if I was myself that someone would catch on. After I became good friends with Tmoe while I was on the account "Luring King," I realised that since I was constantly lying about who I was, it was futile. I proceeded to give him some RSGP as he had recently lost some on one of his account, admitted to him who I was, and left. I posted the thread mentioned above to come clean and have the account banned. The most recent account I did not attempt to conceal, I thought about the community once again and I really missed it. I made it, sent a few PMs to those who I remembered, and that was it. I understand that I broke the rules and it is not something to take lightly, to put it bluntly, I just missed my old friends. I think I should mention that with none of my accounts while ban evading did I cause any harm or scam the community, or cause malice - I did it to try to be a part of the community again.

I was banned 6 years ago, and since then, I still love being here. I am without a shadow of a doubt remorseful that I was arrogant and careless enough to be banned, and it was obviously the correct choice for staff to make at the time with the information they had. I have developed greatly as a person since then, and even in the time since my last appeal for a pardon. I've spent countless hours here, talking about Runescape, talking about life, talking about literally nothing in the spam forum, and if I had the opportunity I would do all of it again because for a long time this community was the best thing in my life. I would like to thank anyone who's read through this and if you need clarification on anything please ask.

I owe a large part of the enjoyment I've had in my life to Sythe and especially those who I have met here, and I really hope that I may be able to experience it again.

Hi blade bro4, thank you for taking the time to read my pardon. You didn't specify why you disagreed with my pardon, so I've guessed why I thought this might have been. If you get the opportunity, please have a quick glance.

Reason #1: You believe I still have malicious intentions in regards to scamming. I understand this, and I agree that it would be a bad move on the staff's part to give an account back, especially with 3k posts, a 2007 join date, and over 50 vouches, to someone that may only be doing it in order to pull off a scam. The only response I can give you to this is that I've had opportunities to scam since I've been banned, and I haven't. I'm fairly well known on other black market/cheating sites, such as RiD and elitepvpers, and I haven't had a single report against me - please ask for links if desired. I'm also good friends with two highly respected members here as I've said in the OP, DorianKing and Chant, and if I had bad intentions I have had ample opportunity to scam them.

Reason #2: You are following influence from Farcast (http://www.sythe.org/spam-forum/165...nd-users-fuckery-shouldnt-allowed-pardon.html) and FireZ (http://www.sythe.org/12975692-post6.html) from my last pardon thread. I admit that this makes me look incredibly untrustworthy as a person and since it has been said by an administrator, it carries a huge amount of weight against my appeal. As I have said, I can only assume why FireZ said this in my last pardon request. As he posted after Farcast posted that thread, it caused me to believe that it was Farcast's thread which lead him to say what he did. I do not recall if I have ever offended him personally, and I do not know if I have done anything which has caused him to regard me as a terrible person, but from what information I have, I formed the response which I gave. Farcast has offered a few kind and supportive words to me in private regarding my posting of this thread, however I do not believe he wants to support me publicly, and I can't say that I blame him. I understand that anyone offering support to me with this said against me may be hard to do, but I don't think i can offer anything else as a response with the information which I have.

Reason #3: Following the way I acted when I was a member of this forum, you believe that it would be wrong to unban me as I will just cause nuisance to the staff. To this, I say that I have matured in the time I have been away and I hope the way which I express myself now reflects this. I do not hold a grudge against any staff members here, past or present, I understand that you are doing your jobs and making the best responses you can with the information you have. I have faith that the staff here now are efficient and good at what they do, not to sound like I'm ass kissing, but purely because I don't think Sythe would still be active would they not be. I am not the person I was 8, 6, or 2 years ago, as I'm sure none of us are.

And well, I guess, reason #4: You simply don't like me. This is a fair enough reason, and i would suggest to get to know me more before making it but I'm certain you do not have the intention or time to do this. Again, thanks for taking the time to read my appeal.

 

Have you attempted to contact the victims? Look for their emails/skypes etc, and make a decent attempt, and post back with proof of doing so please. Your pardon can start then. Your 7 days won't expire - the 7 days will resume once you've made efforts towards refunding and we post acknowledging so.

If they were banned for scamming, you should repay their victims. If you have a hard time finding their victims, I'll figure it out when I'm at a computer.

Hey Time To Buy, are you suggesting that I should repay the victims of the people who reported me for scamming or that I should repay my victims? I'm not sure I quite understand the reasoning behind the former.

Also, I've currently repaid one of those who reported me.

Hey Time To Buy, I noticed a few others have had to pay back those who were the victims of their victims (if that makes sense,) so I assume this is a rule I've missed. I've looked it up:

So from what I can tell .:Goreonius:. scammed a Runescape account, the seller of the Runescape account recovered it back, and then .:Goreonius:. was banned. The pardon was denied as he acted suspiciously in other reports.
I can't find the actual report against him that lead to his ban, or what the amount traded was, so unsure what this means for me. Please have a look at it if you get the time.

Hi, not to try to sound pedantic, but could someone please confirm if my pardon is currently in the voting stage or, if there will be a 2 week waiting period, and then the voting stage will begin anew?

Due to the new pardon rules, you'll have to wait the month for proof of attempted repayment then post your new pardon. A new 7 days of voting will begin after that, let's just consider this whole thread discussion. Be sure to link back to this when you post your new pardon in 2 weeks time.
