Visual Thread Updates?

Was just tossing this idea out there, I think it would be pretty badass to have maybe a "Notification" pop up that has multiple settings, ranging from

-When people post on your thread
-When somebody posts on a thread you already have
-Maybe a quicklink/Thread watch list

Just a longshot. Something that resembles the Facebook notification system. Very convienient. I mean we might have one on the site, I just havent stumbled along it.

I mean the subscribe to thread button I suppose is in the same general area. I just thought maybe more of a small user interface dedicated to different threads.

I agree, Sythe has many active users. It was a long stretch but it came to mind so I tossed it up.

 

Can't you subscribe to your posts and then go to User CP, then go into subscriptions? The threads will be bolded if someone has posted on it.

It'll take forever to code and Matthew is doing so much already.

 

It was just a suggestion, I thought it would be cool. I wasnt sure of the constricted data plan from the sitehost. This thread is for making stuff easier/more effiecient for the user, which it would.

 

It would be fantastic, but as others have said it would probably be very hard to code.

 

If its to hard to code is a toolbar to go in the browser which you download hard to code aswell could be a second option if the notification things is ?
