Whats Vista doing with all that RAM?

Vista uses almost all of your RAM, even if you have no programs running. But that's good, not bad. So why is that good? Vista puts all of its unused RAM into a cache called SuperFetch. That's a better use of the RAM than letting it sit unused, and should improve performance.
When a program needs more RAM, Vista takes it out of the cache and gives it to the program.

Lol for me i have had better performance with xp and 2 gigs of ddr2 800 then with vista im not sure tho maybe on some programs

Ever thought that Vista is more RAM and CPU intensive?

Vista is a good operating system. It's better than xp. Although it's not completely compatible yet, it still offers much that xp can't.

I'll agree that at first I hated vista. But the more I use it, the more I grow fond of it.
