Viewcount abuse?

I guess there's no way to find who did it / how it happened but I figured I'd post anyway since its pretty misleading.

When I search for services on Sythe or any other trading site, I'll usually sort by the total views so I can see who has been around the longest and trade/recommend them. It isn't a direct symbol of trust, but its usually a good indicator.



In the OSRS fire/inferno capes section, these two threads are only a year old, yet have views in the millions:

Also seems to be the case in OSRS WTB:



But not OSRS WTS, RS3 WTB or RS3 WTS which are all autobumped at the same time (Panda is used as an example here):

Maybe its an autobumper issue, but it only shows up on a couple of select threads.

 

View-count boosting is not against sythe rules. Even if it were, it would be hard to prove who did the view-count boosting.
