Verifiying Guides And What-not...

Ok , So I was browsing through the guides section and saw Jcash (Note: I have nothing against him at all , just example)

And saw he posted this...

Now , Mods shouldn't be aloud to verify a guide based on theory? because in reality theory will not always work when you put it into practice...
Mods should actully TEST the guides for a few days before they can give there verification.

Stops people like this not getting what they really wanted

100% support. Has happened to me before, and it sucks when it does

 

In Saying that, Its still the buyers responsability to ask qeustions and they are still taking a risk - which they shouldn't because the Mod should have Properly verified it...

 

There are lots of guides, and most moderators don't verify. What happened is unfortunate, but they don't have time to 'test the guides for a few days'.

 

Them Simply Stop Guide Sales I believe...

OR Make a Type of Mod that is Specificly Given Rights to Verify.

I.E. Rank could be Verifier , Someone who has played runescape for years - and its trusted.

 

We don't stop account sales when someone is scammed.

This is one case, and the accuser may not be telling the truth at all. The vast majority of guide sales are legitimate, there is no need to stop them.

 

This isn't accounts - Thats a Raw Item , This is a word item. Something that has been typed...

I just Think Mods need to be more careful verifying Guides ( Possibly Verify less of them) just to make sure there verification's are Accurate...

 

I'm sure that no person really wants to spend days - and even risking their own stuff, like their money or account, just to verify some guide a person has.

I think that there should be two levels of verification:

* An officially tested verification
* An idea that seems logical/theoretically correct

If a person has thoroughly tried it, then it's obviously going to be Officially Verified. If it takes days, and there's some risk involved, the verifier will say something like Good Idea or something (I'm bad at making idea names..)

Also, if it's not Officially Tested, then you will purchase the guide with caution, of course.

 

Great Idea , Instead of saying "Verified" Mods should say "Theoretically Verified" And "Offically Verified"

 

I disagree. The moderators of this site have enough on their hands without having to test dozens of methods. On top of this, I'd say only a couple of mods would have a runescape account with high enough levels/cash to test them all.

Moderators have the expertise to verify in theory, and that should be enough. I'll be happy to debate this so reply to me.

 

Well , Yes Mods will have alot on their hands. Yes it may be tedious to verify the guides however, A possible rank like "Verifier" as I said would act as a OMM does to an extent...

This would mean guide buying would be "X" amount Safer.

 

It is a lot of work to verify all of them. Though yes, they should say 'theoretically verified' or 'officially verified' so people know the risks they're taking.

 

Guide sales will never stop, the demand is waaaay too high for them.

 

There should be veryfiers of guides ect this is a great idea right here!
