Verified Worker rank

i don't see why people are so negative about it. It's a suggestion to make people see that workers are legit. This would stop scamming on the part that people make fake accounts to act like workers.

does it require work?
sure it does, but what doesn't. It has to have requirements to limit that only specific people have it, maybe even adding a fee.

This will add more donations to the sythe, workers are "verified" and have proof to show that they're legitly workers and everyone benefits from it in the end.

 

No support. Not as a rank or mini. Not needed, if you can't convince someone you work for who you work for, it's a loss. It's your business so you shouldn't be requiring more help than you've acquired.

If this were to come into play, certain specifications would be needed imo. Just not sure what, as vouches are easily attainable/donations are no big deal, either.

 

This would most likely change the current dispute and pardon systems, as people would be even more responsible for their own workers. In addition, this would only be useful for people that have a successful business, as most people that try working together on here realize their business relationship will probably be short-term. I'm not saying this is a bad idea necessarily, but I feel the systems currently in place handle this fairly well, and as this would only apply to a very few select people of the site, it's not very beneficial to implement at this time.

 

I'm not for this suggestion but if it's done, I want to see it done right.

I would say those select few people are big enough businesses that they pretty much run that market. If it's something they want, I would say let them voice what they think and see if it should be done.

Those that have no big business or service teams, shouldn't really be voicing opinions on how it would be for the business. (Myself included) they should direct their opinions more towards the customer side of things. Would this be useful if I were buying from a worker? Would this be worth while?

Honestly, it'd be nicer as a customer.

 

However, these big businesses on Sythe already have worker accounts which are either listed in their user title or on the business thread, respectively.

In addition, they most likely have a site for purchasing goods or services, which is organized based on what they want.

As a result, everything seems to be implemented that currently works.
I don't see the need for a verified worker rank necessarily, as if someone tries to imposter being a worker they will be banned of course (if they aren't already).

 

Sums up my thoughts on this, pretty much.

Not necessary for a rank.

 

It should be placed in their signature with a link to your thread, that is much easier than making an individual rank for every seller.

 

User title could be a great idea, rank isn't important

User title would ruin the perks of the $50/$100 donor.

Ranks nor Miniranks are even near needed.

Just because you want the Miniranks doesn't mean you'll get it.

If people doubt the legitimacy of said worker, they can check out the thread.
If people are easily imposting said worker, invest in a donor status, or something else that shows their legitimacy, maybe just have them post around for some participation mini ranks, whatever.

I work for MMORPG, but what would me, or my coworker Ollie need with such a rank? Nothing, because we have donor status, post count to show for it and posts on the selling and buying threads.

The only way I could possibly see it actually working is if there was an ability in the usercp to give your workers miniranks, it would be a standard picture for all workers of all people. But R2 would only be able to give an R2 one. I could only give a Darkest Dream one, etc. If you hovered over it'd say the name of the user you're working for.

If sythe or matthew had some extra time to implement something like that, sure. I just don't see it happening.

 

The administrators are the only ones allowed to give people Miniranks. It would be stupid for a normal member to have that perk to be able to just give people Miniranks. This whole suggestion should have been scrapped from the start.

 

Donate for your workers and give them a UI and that is problem solved. The system is already in place you just have to be pragmatic about it.

 

I don't see why not and encourage some sort of donation to enact the rank. If it makes it easier (and safer) for users to transact, we should go for it.
