Tbh you're missing the beauty of sythe. People do scam, however you can come here as a newcomer and become a gold seller fairly easily if you have competitive prices due to the fact that there are not things like "verified sellers" no support from meh.

Well this is getting nowhere. I guess most of sythe is happy with letting scamming pricks do as they please. Cheers.

To those talking about competition, there still is competition. If your new, a buyer will likely ignore you, and purchase with the guy that has 15 vouches. It'd be nice to have a verified seller rank for different sections. For those who sell a ton of runescape gold, you get some sort of rank, etc.

^Then you should donate more, or offer free questing, or do specials instead of whinining. I had no problem starting my service and now have the largest questing service on sythe.

And I have the oldest, like a baws

How does the address get magically verified by a phone number? Some people aren't listed in the phone book, etc. If you are calling their mobile phone number/sending a text, so what? It's like $2 for a sim that they can just throwaway afterwards.

This also creates an unfair advantage to established businesses ontop of their amount of posts on their thread/vouch count/donation amount, etc. It would make it even harder for newcomers to start up in a market. Trust is subjective any ways. It would be a lot better to just promote safe trading techniques and have them look to use a trusted Middleman or an OMM when making trades.

The problem with verified sellers is that when a verified seller scams it makes the whole site look bad because we specifically promoted them as trustworthy. Verified anything does TBH. Mods and Admins scamming to cash their reputation in historically has been a problem, verified sellers through bonds is pretty dumb tbh, they will just scam for more than the bond and repeat the same process they are doing anyways.

Yeah, not to mention bonds is basically the same thing as donations, which we have currently. We can already see that people donate for some trust and then scam more then that donation was worth.

Agreed Jack, plus as I said before it puts newcomers, or those not willing to disclose info over the Internet for obvious reasons, though they are not scammers, at a severe disadvantage, which would hurt anybody wanting to start a new store ect.

Wow.. Okay then, so your basically saying a donor rank means nothing?

It helps out the sythe community YES but it's also used by a large proportion on Sythe for becoming more trusted, getting an advantage on your other competitors, I'd much rather spend 25% more money on a service from someone who has $50+ Donar than someone with none and a few vouches, E.G The 50$ donar costs 186M That's if you use Grave's way of donating or the prices may have changed I'd hands down trust a $50 donor with 150m~ because I know that the likely hood of them scamming it isn't very high because in the end they'll be loosing money and the point to scamming is to make money?

Anyway I don't even understand why people scam..

They'll build up to 10~ vouches and then scam a 100m or whatever but with that specific vouch of a member of sythe they can make more buisness instead of 'vading and taking a month to scam another 100m..

Look at Synful. Donated $300 and scammed something like $1,500. That's called a profit. Donator ranks should mean nothing because they don't represent trust and people who think they mean trust are people who are going to get scammed when a large donator goes on a spree. Anything you can just buy into is a bad idea as Annex said, because it gives us a bad reputation because we put this member up on a pedestal.

This is something that isnt really needed but i think would make spot for a good "Mini-Rank" as for verifying how people would be able to get this rank i'm unsure about but i think a mini-rank would be suitable for something like this.

    7/10 support
