RiD? RD? VeloxBot is more suitable than RiD in most cases.

Besides the fact that RiD requires a VM to minimize, I don't really see how. RiD released an automated bug submission system to allow him to fix bugs quickly, with the goal in mind to make all his bots capable of 24 hour proggies.

I'm not trying to advertise, my original point was why wait for a script to be made when one that can perform just as well under the same platform has already been made. The specific site isn't really important for the point I was making, one of the reasons why I didn't mention it by name.

Well duh, people like things to be as easy as possible. There's a reason why one of the most well known phrase for companies is 'Keep it stupid simple.' Meaning make things so simple and easy for the consumer that even the incredibly stupid can operate it.

The reason why RiD doesn't offer a direct method of minimization is because he does not want to violate any real-life laws, which any customized client that loads RS that is not approved by RS is a violation of the DMCA and is therefore illegal. It also puts the individual user at legal risk in addition to the developer or website that offers it.

Do I risk being sued for using this?

You cannot be sued for using RiD, provided you aren't running a customised version of RuneScape client software.

Regarding this issue, the TOS of RuneScape states, "You must not use a modified/customised version of the client software" and "such activity may constitute civil wrongs and/or criminal offences, and Jagex reserves the right to take such action as appropriate in the circumstances should it become aware that such offences are being committed."

Many bots do this (for minimization), and this is what leaves their users open to being sued. However RiD does not utilize a customised version of client software, which is why using RiD is not a civil or criminal offense.

Here's the exact snippet from the Jagex ToS:

You must not reverse-engineer, decompile or modify any Jagex Product client software in any way (except to the extent allowed by applicable law). You must not use a modified/customised version of the client software or attempt to sub-license it. You must not create or provide any other means by which any Jagex Product may be played by others (including, without limitation, replacement or modified client/server software, server emulators). Please note that any such activity may constitute civil wrongs and/or criminal offences, and Jagex reserves the right to take such action as appropriate in the circumstances should it become aware that such offences are being committed.

Why can't we minimize the bot directly? Other bots do it, why don't you?

Minimizing RuneScape directly would be a violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Users of any customized version of the RuneScape client, are violating real-world rules and could potentially be sued by Jagex.

We don't minimize RuneScape directly, to protect our users, and because (although we disagree with some aspects of gameplay) we absolutely respect Jagex's rights, according to the DMCA.

You can minimize your bot without committing an offense, with very little overhead, using Adam's Virtual Machine.

Not all bot clients modify the client software. TRiBot for instance just loads the same client as seen in the browser without modifying anything. It's essentially a Java applet web browser. It does none of the above in any way.

Hey, I'm not sure if you guys are trolling eachother, but I've installed VeloxBot on hundreds of customer's VPS plans on my successful Botting VPS website. Stui told me there's definitely some type of virus in it, so should I remove them all?

I have access to your support tickets and I haven't seen any like that. You can stop trolling now, I've actually looked at the IP's you have and compared them to the running time of users(we have a stats ACP on veloxbot) and I have sen multiple instances of 4hours+.
