We only have one local shop and they're cunts, i've watched some tuts though so I think I'll be alright next build.

 

Anyone have experience with the Aspire Plato? I'm loving it, but I think I fucked something up when I was filling the tank and now it has a very minor leak. I've tried cleaning out the tank, making sure the gaskets were in place, damn near everything.

 

Been having some issues with my Sigelei that's burning through my TFV8 coils. It occasionally reads the wrong resistance, causing the voltage to spike, which ultimately scorches my wick. Annoying as fuck and I'm not sure if there's even a fix for it

 

The jig itself is useful, but DD is right, there really is no point for you to fuck around with the ohm-meter if you already have a regulated mod, it pretty much already does the same thing. The usefulness in the kit is primarily for mech mod users who can't just put the RDA on their mod and test fire real quick to make sure that everything is correct in their build.

Making your own coils is incredibly easy, it just takes a bit of experimenting and practice to get a build that you like down. First, find yourself some wire. I recommend Kanthal since it's super easy to work with and really cheap. Find a gague you like, it's honestly personal preference (I use 24g since I got it on sale) and then just experiment. The different jigs all have a different thickness so you can customize the # of wraps and the diameter to make sure you're hitting the resistance you want. I usually just run 7 wraps around the thickest jig thing I have and it gives me a solid ~.2 which is what I usually go for with my coils.

Honestly though, in terms of cost it's incredibly cheap but it becomes annoying re-wicking and personally I think it's such a fucking hassle to make any coils that are more complex than simple kanthal wraps. I've personally been buying pre-made premium coils (alien coils, tigerwire, fused claptons etc.) since I'm not gonna find a fucking drill and buy 4 different types of wire to make my own coils.

Karl's right though, none of this shit is going to make much sense through text, you just have to find some tutorials on youtube. I promise there are plenty, you just have to sift through some of the neckbeard vapebros who aren't too helpful.

I want to blow dank clouds I heard the rda is best. Never bought a vape what's the best for a good price. I don't want it to be huge either.

 

Any dual battery regulated mod. $50-100.

You'll need 2 18650 batteries ($20-25)

A sub ohm tank is easier to use than an RDA. I like the TFV-8 ($30)

You'll also need e-liquid( $5-15)

 

To caveat off this - don't forget a charger, and I'd also recommend at least 1 if not 2 spare sets of batteries.

Also that battery price is off. Illumn.com. - 2 batteries for $13+s/h = ~16-17 bucks.

For the mod, I recommend a sigelei 100 or 150w. Sigeleis are tanks.

+1 to the tfv8, coils are expensive though. Only downside.

That is one of my favorite looking RDA's (I love the glass cap lol) but honestly once you build on a 2 post deck you're never going to want to go back to messing with those 3 post designs.

 

So I got a Reuleaux RX200 and a Cleito tank.

I usually go to a local vape/smoke shop, but i'm tired of paying their pretty unreasonable markup compared to the prices I see on websites.

Currently using an Aspire Plato AIO, but looking to move on to something else as I can't get the damn thing to stop leaking and spitting up juice.

 

I like e-ciggity for mods, not the absolute cheapest but pretty reliable.

I also like Mount Baker Vapor for inexpensive pretty decent juice

I pretty much buy all of my vape related gear from those three sites above unless I find a great deal with solid comments to back up the validity of the site (if unknown) on /r/electronic_cigarette. You can also test your luck on /r/ecigclassifieds if you're wanting to pick up some quality used items. Personally, I like to buy all of my juice / tanks / RDA's new since used isn't that much cheaper and I'll be directly putting my mouth on / inhaling it so I'd prefer it to be unopened.
