Vaping

So if I was to set my budget around 80$ what would be the BEST starter to get in your guys opinion? Seriously thinking about ordering one tomorrow.

 

Answer these questions first.

Are you getting it to smoke or are you getting it take make some clouds and tricks like a hookah?

Does your $80 include the ecig juice cost in there?

Would you like to start at a nice one or a lower end one?

Would you like a complete set all together or are you open to buying a battery from one company and a tank from another? (easier for people who never used them before to understand ones that come preassembled)

 

My budget is loose let's say up to 120.

I think I'd get it for both smoke output and for tricks so something that's decent in both those categories would be good.

I would like for it to include SOME juice to last me a little while.

I'd like a decent reliable model, and I wouldn't be opposed to building it myself as long as I had some instruction of some sort.

 

Alright then.

If you want both a good output for the tricks and a smooth coasting one for when ever then you NEED variable change, so that takes out half of your options, but don't worry the variable changes are better IMO anyway.

With a loose budget of 80 - 120 you should have no problem finding a great model with some juice. Even premium juices from the Cali district.

Decent and reliable are the two words that come to mind when I think of iTaste, I personally don't own one but about 60% of my friends have one that they currently use and not only are they great but I've watched one fall 10ft. plus from a make shift tree house in my friends garage and not even a scratch.

Models that are good that I know are as follow ( in your budget and seen and used them all):
iTaste MVP V.2
iTaste VV V.3
iTaste SVD (a.k.a the telescope)

Now the prices range from about $40 to $80 for the battery's or the kit's that stores offer. Personally I would choose the VV V.3. I like how even though its rectangular it still is more of a "stick" to hold on to for rips, where the MVP is a box. The SVD is a pretty good cloud machine but it's a little on the fat side and to put into your pocket looks weird. A huge perk to the MVP is that you can charge your phone through one of the ports they got on the side.

They all have the easy voltage change by pressing the plus or minus button and they all have an electric screen that displays the voltage and they all have memory to remember what your last setting was.

But for about $40 (depends what site you go to) on the VV V.3 you get the charger and battery with a manual (which you really won't need). Where the MVP is about the same price but key difference is no variable wattage. You need the MVP V.2 for that which is about $5 - $10 more.

It also has a puff counter, a battery indicator (the button you press to vape will go green (great), yellow (midway), and red (low)), 10 second cut off so it limit how fast you can burn a wick, you can smoke and charge at the same time, 510 threading (newest which you will need don't get any of the older types of threading), over charge protection (so you can't kill the battery by over charge), and you can change the voltage and wattage (volts by .1 and watts by .5 I'm pretty sure).

Make sure you do a little research on your own though to find what you like. I know N4N0 has the MVP and a more expensive model called the 134 so if you want first hand experience (long term) with the brand I would ask him. But the VV V.3 has my vote.

Now onto tanks. I don't think anyone will argue when I say just buy a KangerTech Protank 2 and be done with it. Nothing else compares to it.

For juices I usually go to my local shop since there juices is better then most places around me and a majority I've found on the internet. But Definitely check out FivePawns. You really can't go wrong with any of there juices especially Gambit. They are on the more expensive side but the quality is x10 better then 99% of the juices out there.

So the battery w/ charger is ruffly $40 and the protank 2 is roughly $25 so your about $65 into the cig itself, which leaves you tons of room for a couple bottles of juice. If you have any more questions just let me know.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I took the more expensive side when projecting the prices. So you will probably come out even cheaper.

 

The 134 is an amazing mod, and I would highly recommend it though it is also a bit on the expensive side (Around $100-$130 depending on where you find it)

I'd personally suggest the MVP V2 if you're not opposed to the box mod, as it's got long battery life, ohm reader, VV/VW, puff counter, and acts as a relay for charging other USB powered devices.

You say that you're not opposed to building. If this is the case, then I'd suggest something cheap but easy - A K100 mechanical mod and an IGO-W RDA - Both would run you about $60 or so, but you'd need to factor in the price of batteries, a charger, cotton, and kanthal (you can buy 100' spools for ~$8 on ebay)

28g A1 Kanthal is a good round starter.

If you end up looking into rebuildables, then feel free to hit me up and I can help as best as I can. I find it difficult to use anything else anymore though, just a heads up. Once you go sub-ohm, you never go back.

I also vape, I smoked a pack a day for 7 years, now I haven't smoked in 9 months! I started at 24mg of Nicotine, now I'm down to about 14-16mg depending on what flavor I buy.

Flavors I really like is smurfs blood. lol. Very sweet ^__^ also I like the Marlboro menthol.

I have a Vision Spinner battery with a custom fluid holder (barrel), then I bought a small battery to just interchange and use when my Vision dies an I need to charge it.

That's good. I started smoking when I was 14 now i'm 17 and haven't had a cig in over 6 months. It's cheaper, doesn't smell as bad, and works.

 

I might be getting into this soon. There's a guy I know that supposedly can get refills of THC extract. Sounds really awesome.

 

You need a trippy stick for oils, or you'll fuck up your coils and eventually it will completely stop working.

Know from experience, better of just getting a gpen for your herbal needs.

 

Any suggestions on what I should get based on what I said previously. Will be my first proper vape so I may aswell go all out

Turn 18 on February 1st, so until that comes i'm still with prebuilts for the time being. I've been selling off most my shit though. Only one I got left is a Vapor EGO-V w/ PT2 and this fatter bottom drip trip.

At the local shop they will sell me the liquid even though i'm only 17, they just put the 0 mg/ml label instead of the 18. And Learning how to do all of that would be better off just waiting until i can buy the supplies and all that myself.

But i'm thinking of getting a RoughStack from madvapes for my first mechanical. I don't want it to be to expensive, I jut want something I can learn from for a reasonable price.

 

I'll just be sticking with prebuilts and well I can spend a good £100 (EDIT: $164). Obviously you don't need that much for vaping. but I can literally get anything atm

 

Well with a budget with that, you can basically get anything as to prebuilt batteries and tanks. KangerTech Protank 2 is a MUST though. Do you know what you would like out of the vape? Do you want it to be small enough to carry with you (pocket)? Would you like a list of suggested brands or actual batteries?

 

Toying with a new build right now. Single twisted 30 gauge coil, 6 wraps @ .750ohm

 

How hard was it to actually figure out all the moding at home?

Did you ever use a source?

 

Made it a double coil. .446 ohm. 6 wraps each.
