Users may now edit their own thread titles!

Guess that would be good to have. Either way I made use of this immediately and changed a few of my thread titles, even though I would've waited else once I'd become a 200$ donor so that the admins only had to change my titles once.

Is there an ability to add an audit log or something similar which shows previous names of the thread? I think this would help avoid people selling accounts and reselling them with no evidence of prior sale existing. We used to rely on thread titles before if people edited the thread body but if people can edit thread titles themselves now. They could just erase the entire title and put something like "sold" leaving no evidence of what was actually sold.

Good update though, helps reduce a lot of unnecessary reports.

Great update that benefits majority of users/staff.

I'm abit concerned about whether people will just edit in things now...that would have been previously denied, and as staff are not over looking title changes it will go unnoticed. Or people may edit in saying they're mod, scam someone and edit it out. An audit log like punjabi3 said would be great.


Is it expressly written anywhere stating what a person is not allowed to edit into titles.

I.e. if I was to edit in 150B 07 swapped etc. Without proof. which I know isn't allowed.

Or do we just report such title. Again unknowingly of what restrictions we have, would end up reporting anything.

I never thought i'd see the day. A step in the right direction.

 

Not something I was fond of, but it did get annoying for moderators to take care of. I imagine activity in RASP will dramatically decrease.

 

Moderators have access to previous titles and can see who did the change.
Post edit history would be nice to have, but I guess that's a longshot
