Vouches mini rank

If someone has over like 100 vouches(just an example) on their vouch thread, they can get a mini rank for it.

 

Vouches should be evaluated by different people differently, and most of us accept that quality of vouches is more important than quantity. Giving people miniranks for reaching a certain quantity of vouches passes judgement that "this person is trustworthy - look, they have 100 vouches!" which we want to avoid. Also, it encourages people to hunt for cheap and easy vouches which, as mentioned about, aren't nearly as important as having a few high-quality vouches. So I'm against this.

 

Buying 50 bonds. Then reselling to 50 different people or different times. You trade about nothing. Is that worth it? I don't believe so.

We should have mods that select few members in particular to get a trusted mini rank then.

This exists but it's pretty out of date. I don't really see a need for it. You can decide for yourself if someone is trustworthy; staff have no business making that distinction for you. If you don't know who to trust, ask for advice.

 

Won't happen. Number of vouches would be a bad way to do it. Having admins select people for a "trusted" minirank isn't worth the risk either.

 

Impossible to monitor and would increase shit-post vouches and fake vouching, not to mention encourage quantity over quality of vouches.
