My desktop bacround changed to a screen saying.

Warning! Spyware detected on your computer!

Install an antivirus or spyware remover to clean your computer:

It also says that i have been infected with win32/privacyremover.m64 AND win32/adware.virtumonde/

Upon restarting my computer, an agreemnt to instal antivirus 2008 popsup (i ended the process)

All of this happened as soon as i downloaded limewirepro freelimewirepro.net

Any ideas on how i ca fix this without a bunch of dowloads?

I have:
Avast home edition
Ad aware SE
Spy Hunter 3

Hmm, my old computer did that exact same thing cause my sister downloaded Limewire, even after I specifically told her not to. Anyways, definitely uninstall Limewire if you haven't already. Next, go to http://free.avg.com/ and download the free version of AVG and just do a whole computer scan (or if Avast can do that, use that). After that, just click delete all infected files, and you should be good.

Well first off, Ad Aware SE is a load of bull.

I would go for a good version of McAfee, I bought the payed version and it is amazing...

Anyways first off... realize your mistake.
You are an idiot for trying to download free illegal software....
Say it with me.... "I am an idiot for downloading this."

Anyways, first off DO NOT download anything that pops up it will just give you more of a problem.

Now use the stickies located at the top of this forum and find the online scanner.

Use that to find out what you have, my guess is a Trojan Dropper.

Once you find it Google it and it will show you how to get rid of it.

I actually did get limewire PRO from the website, for free, it actually does NOT have any viruses (scanned with online scanners + my own)

Im going to start in safe mode, then run avast full scan, when i figure it out.

LimeWirePro does not give the virus.. the things you download do, the program its self is verrry dangerous you do realize when you use LimeWire you put out all your system files to anyone else using LimeWire.

I dont have any files on my computer i really care about, however im really looking towards getting rid of this thing. Avast! anti virus does not have a full system scan option, so im un installing it, and installing AVG.

All that downloaded shit is worthless it will come up with a few minor things but if you get a good keylogger that shit won't notice it.

Go with McAfee payed addition.

To do so, just go to a reformat your computer option and just click of infected area of your CPU should break whatever you have.
