Bring back Nextgen/Lite

Title.

Many of us do not like moonglares theme. Now we are left with this single theme and a "mobile" version. I cant see ANY downfalls to keeping the nextgen and (even or at this point) nextgen lite option around, it pleases both sides of the fence and requires no additional work.

I'm having trouble finding the thread where the new theme was announced but do recall it not being very well recepted then either. Staff and sythes solution was "use the old one", now we simply do not have that option. Pls mr sith, bring back nextgen.

 

Nextgen has been there for a good few many years though, Moon's theme is nice (I do love the space background), but ultimately some users are still going to want the same theme forever. Would you consider 4 themes to maintain? Or if not that, at least 3? You could add the side window with all the user info to just be an option to enable / disable in the options menu. As for classic, that wouldn't really need as much attention because it's classic and it pretty much stays the same.

 

I've tried on a number of occasions, its just awfully busy. I can understand maintaining 5 different themes could be a hassle but lets be honest very few people ever used the others other than nextgen lite. How about replacing the current mobile theme (it isnt even fully functional from my android.. cant see subsections, joindate, miniranks, post count ect) where as the normal desktop only theme is fully functional save the minirank manager.

I'm admittably a bit of a lamen when it comes to these things but what extra work is required by keeping an old theme around?

 

I had a thread to bring classic back, that one was the best. I didn't think maintenance was necessary...
