Your league doesn't make your country good. As proven many times over and over by England.

not really as dunga is an idiot. He doesnt know how to coach. and PRK are better atm. They have heart they have passion but look at brazil they're not as same as they were 2-3 years ago.
Only good player in brazil atm is Robinho and Maicon and Lucio

    You are missing out Kaka
And its 2-0 now. Looks like a lock for Brazil going into the 85th minutes.

0-0 between Portugal and Ivory Coast
    anyone surprised?

Dunga has fucked up the brazilian team. I understand he's going by statistics and success from previous matches but the world cup is different, look at podolski from germany he does ok during club matches but he always does great during the world cup.. I would have most likely kept ronaldinho and adriano in the line up. How can you kick out a Great? Ronaldinho adds pressure, beauty, and leaves openings for other players. Pissed me off that he didn;t make the squad. After watching this first brazilian game the beauty is gone, i'm hoping this is just cold feet for the first game.

well yeah north koera are playing very good defensivly i add more below

to be honest i couldnt see it any more of a draw between them, maybe i had portugal slightly ahead but meh i think there was no spark

well he isnt actually an idiot he is morphing the team much more defensivly around the 2 defensive midfield whilst also choosing players who sometimes are not a reliability whilst also looking for those players who have not been capped that much and have more hunger than those of the previous world cups, though i still think he should have brought ronaldinho along though adriano might have been too big of a risk but considering the performance today maybe there are some doubts over kaka alone being the main playmaker and of course luis fabiano not playing that good, but its still way too early for anything

err actually france has quite a good league and excellent youth structures along with a highly rated scouting system responsible for most of the world superstars you see in england so maybe you should shut up american on stuff you dont know about it, your league is shit, hell japan have a better league than yours off the top of my head

If you actually knew something you'd know more than half are players club teams are in foreign countries. To be honest, I don't care if are league is shit. I'm sure the rest of America doesn't care either.

EDIT: I have nothing against France, and neither am I calling them shit. I'm simply claiming England is the most overrated team in any sport the past century.

Good games played today. Surprised to see 2 matches with a tie. Ivory Coast and Portugal played an interesting game. Can't believe Ronaldo's shot hit the post though. Brazil and North Korea were 0-0 at halftime but finished with a 2-1 score with Brazil winning

    Can't wait for tomorrow's games!

Most of them are in the middle of the night for me, but hopefully going to watch Honduras v Chile tonight.

North Korea played pretty well, shame I didn't see much of it. Didn't see the other game, so I can't really say anything.

To be honest, North Korea was playing better than expected in the first half. Brazil was passing the ball around real good and got serious before it was too late.

Their entire strategy seems to be damage control, ie keeping the ball off the opposition but not necessarily doing anything with it.

Exactly true, but it's also a reason why they won't get out of Group G. And if you're playing 3 other teams that are 5x better than you, they better at least think of something to do with the ball.

Although N. Korea's goal in the 88th minute (I believe) was actually a pretty good goal. Getting past all the Brazilian defenders. Pretty shocking actually.

    North Korea played really well.
I was really surprised at the score personally. I thought the score would be alot more lopsided.
Happy for the Orange tho. Way to open with a big win. Hope they can continue to do the same.

Argentina, baby born and raised, if it wasnt for that Nigerian goalie messi would of had atleast 5 goals and pipita woulda had 2. we're beating south korea on Thursday 3-1 and then Greece 4-0. then if mexico qualifies 2nd of their group we're beating them 3-0 :D

Look north korea was the better team but , they didnt have confidence as you could see everytime PRK had the ball it only took 1 minute or so to get rid of it. they didnt know what to do. but when their nr 9 had the ball he could finish it but he werent strong enough to score.

and when it comes to brazil , they wont win World cup im 100% sure. They need their stars. Adriano , ronaldinho , ronaldo , fred etc.

But we shall see , now its chile - honduras.

Maybe, but I think it's more likely they were deliberately keeping the ball for as long as possible to limit chances for Brazil.

But we shall see , now its chile - honduras.[/QUOTE]
Watching it now, seems pretty even so far.
