Unhappy with recent UI denial

Why cry over a UI? N4N0 deleted my sig and i didn't know for like 4 days.. I ain't even mad.. He's just doing his job on the site.

 

An admin previously accepted it. Not saying N4NO should be bypassed but if you guys are that specific about it ask who previously accepted it. If it was Matthew clearly Matthew deemed it acceptable if not maybe we'll set it to a vote among the admins/USL because clearly you think N4NO doesn't like you and that's his motivation behind denying your U.I.

 

The text is clearly white to me. Don't see a problem with it, especially if it was already accepted before.

 

It's a fucking user image. It's not even worth the tissues.

 

N4n0 is known to make poor choices, overdo his position of power, and no matter how you try to reason with him, he doesn't want to fess up to his mistakes. Perhaps you should read the whole thread to get a better understanding of the situation because it isn't just about one thing he's done wrong. As I and others have previously stated, that UI has been approved before (the same one he's declined 7 times) with no modifications whatsoever. He didn't listen to my reasonable request of asking for a different person with the same power as him to take care of the issue. I think Jiwi will take care of this issue because this is getting out of hand. I expected another admin to overrule his decision soon after posting feedback on his thread, but I keep forgetting that there aren't many strong-willed people around here.

 

You act as if I'm maliciously singling you out and targeting you. If you would like, I can go through my PM's and bring up a half dozen PM conversations with other users who I've denied UI's to due to the fact they had too much color over the text.

The difference between you and them? They didn't try to stir up a shit storm for the sake of stirring up a shit storm. They worked with me, and we found a compromise. You on the other hand, outright refused to even work with me and immediately accuse me of being incompetent, and/or biased, and you are accusing me of targeting you, when realistically, you're just looking for a reason to attack me.

I honestly don't care what your opinion of me is. I feel the effects over the text are too overbearing, and need to be adjusted. As an administrator, that authority was bestowed and entrusted upon me by Matthew and Richard themselves. If you have a problem with my decision, take it to them directly rather than try to publicly slander me which is what you're currently attempting to do.

 

Regardless of the issue of colour, the problem is the fact of differing standards. One admin accepted, one didn't. You, as the head staff, should make intelligent decisions, based on set standards. If that's the exact same UI, either the first admin is wrong, or the second admin is wrong. There's simply no other way around it.

There seems to be a problem with people admitting they're wrong around here, and it ends up with many users without UI's.

Once again, something made a huge deal that really isn't. Set a standard and follow it. Undo decisions that hurt people who didn't deserve it and move on. Fairly simple

 

This is way too green dude. Unless you're Support Centre mod, I would never see a non-staff member get this.

Green on my screen. Even if the font is white, the effects cover the majority of the text and make it appear green.

If the first admin approved it, doesn't mean n4n0 has to do the same. Maybe the first admin was wrong? Who's to say... Why not just adjust it slightly instead of trying to start a fight?

He's following the guidelines of the Admin who set this whole thing in place, maybe ask Matthew to change those guidelines instead of blaming n4n0 for following them.

 

Did I say you were targeting me? No. This is the 3rd time this has happened, and in the other instances I didn't even bat an eye to argue about it. Why? Because it was handled by someone else. I said you're incompetent because it's the truth.

Incompetent - not having or showing the necessary skills to do something successfully.

If you declined two of my other requests that were later approved by others, what does that say about your decision making skills?

I'm not even going to bring up your past because it overwhelming goes in my favor.

You continued to decline my requests after telling you continuously to let it be handled by someone else. Is that an unreasonable request? No. After you decliend it the first time, I replied to your pm, you ignored it, and that's why I posted on your feedback thread.

 

There's definitely a lot of green there, but I don't think it should be an issue. Especially if it's been approved in the past.

 

Give the man his UI, I've seen him with it before, what's the problem...seriously?

But seriously, Jiwi said he would fix this for me. I hope what N4n0 has done doesn't go unnoticed later on because he can't seem to catch a break. Good day y'all.

 

Will do. I know you aren't very active so that's why I chose to handle it the way I did.

 

N4n0 handled my UI a few months back similarly. The text was apparently too grey but all I had changed was the background colour (from blue to yellow) while it was approved in the past by Matthew himself. I think it was a false call but I didn't make much of an issue of it.

Also, IMO that UI is way too green, even though you can clearly see the text is white, it just has green effects all over it. Having said that it shouldn't be such a big issue, mods shouldn't be so strict about these kind of things. Just pisses off the users and causes unwanted threads like this one. And like Ghast said he didn't donate $300 to have such restrictions

 

One wrong doesn't justify another. Just because it was approved before doesn't mean it should be approved again. No one can deny that it is way too green, and I'm happy that it's being fixed by Jiwi.

If I had a grey block and covered it in green glitter to the point that you can barely see the grey, yes what remains under is a grey block but that doesn't change the fact that you have altered it in such a manner to look differently.

 

You must be thinking history is repeating itself when in actuality it's an over-exaggeration of misinterpreting guidelines and the privilege to use a UI by yourself.

I'm sorry you feel how you do, but a few simple changes to the UI can be made in order for it to be accepted. For instance, have the green flooding the UI flow in and out for each letter or simply hide behind the letters with a few minor highlights to compensate. It doesn't seem like an arduous task to me and would most likely be a more productive use of your time.
