Undeserved Infraction?

I received this infraction from NickV, apparently for spamming. I was just stating that I thought that it was interesting that Inventor was unbanned and returned - I don't see how that classifies as spam anymore than "welcome back" or "thanks". In fact, it was on topic. If this could be reversed it would be much appreciated.

Well you could have written what you just wrote out, instead of posting a one word answer with no relevance in itself to the thread, without explanation.
