No, 16 is age of consent. I don't see whats wrong with having underage sex, sex is a stress reliever if you have it with someone who loves it, or loves you, butttt idk I can go both ways on this one, its good and bad.

 

That is kind of like saying that if you cant wait too start drinking until you are 18(or 21 depending on where you live) then you are already a developing alchoholic... Maturity both sexual, hormonal and general is not an age based thing, each person is different and may experience various urges at different times...

I can not believe this conversation is going on. If the two people that are having sex are responsible and do it SAFELY, then there shouldn't be a problem. The only reason that it's a law, is that there are a good amount of under-age kids out there that don't give a fuck about protection, therefor making them irresponsible. The law was made because the U.S government doesn't trust a majority of the teen population (most very uneducated, which leads to the whole pregnancy thing) to engage in sexual activities responsibly.

I could go on an on about this, but there really isn't a point. Most people who don't believe in underage sex between two responsible people are probably jealous because they didn't do that when they were underage because they were too fucking retarded to get some. Nuff said, kthnxbye.

I think that strictly for financial reasons, it shouldn't be allowed. Even with consent it shouldn't be allowed until both parties are over the age of 18. In any case, even Birth Control and Condoms are NEVER a 100% scapegoat. Keep it in your pants and save it.

Sorry for the late replie, but is this somehow suggesting to homosexuals having sex at a younger age?..Because I really don't think that's the case.

Anyway, I think underaged sex is wrong socially - it makes you and your enviroment look bad, and to other girls/guys it makes you look at bit desprate, or too eager. If the time comes though, and you and your partner feel right about it - I belive in it.

 

This is a moral issue from which most peoples' ideology comes from the society around them. Ditch the society, then think about what it means to YOU.

 

Well it should be something that you do with the person you are truly in love with. To be completely honest with you, I doubt many 14 year olds can decide or even contemplate actually living with the same person for the rest of their lives and devoting themselves to that one person. Just my thought process. The age requirement is there for a reason, not to punish children for being adolescents.

I don't like underage sex, it ruins things for when they should be saved for in the future (marriage). Also, I go to a private school (christian) and this girl got pregnant. She got expelled. Also, the underage thing is a good rule because it should help stop some teen pregnancies which is rapidly increasing. Also, guess what? Talking about abstinence (no sex til marriage) is illegal in the state of Washington where I live. The people think that it's physically impossible to stay a virgin until marriage.

 

If our money says "In God We Trust" then that should promote premarital sex from happening. Even though you can be 30 and not be married, the most common premarital happens at the underaged part.

God says it means something, but if you don't believe in God then you can do it without having to worry, I'm just saying that as a religious nation, we should help stop premarital sex because there are too many abortions and all that crap that makes the US look bad.
