Rhino, I'm still interested in how your last item actually dropped in price when you started "manipulating" it. What kind of profit do you actually make?

 

i have about 50mil between 3 account, what item you buying now? and when did you start thanks

 

i suggest we try to manipulate body runes because it is worth 2 gp- 3gp, thus it can't drop.

...and next time we try to manipulate an item, we should see approximately how much gp ppl are willing to spend so we can guarentee a profit.

...btw, rhino, you should take off the hard leather message in case ppl buy hard leather.

Check out the other posts when I first put the hardleathers on the item of the week, people posted the next day "wow it went up 1-2gp already !" etc.

it took 1 day for us to manipulate its price.

It takes money to make money.

How it works is we will take some junk item like hardleather, lime slices (FTW!)

since usually no1 would disturb our price manipulation by over buying our item at lowest WE will have almost a guaranteed price raise since we literally OUTBUY the max item traded in 100 days (look for the list in G.E)

Ok you buy 100,000 Hard leathers for 100gp each (max)
in the top 100 item list it says "traded in 30 days , then it tells you the ammount that people baght at max,mid,lowest. max traded were 4.2million flowing around GE since 30days!) so that means we have to outbuy 4.2Million hardleathers at MAX so once we pass 4.2M it forces the price to Raise by a certain percent depending on the diffrence we out baght it from the top 100 list.

The profit

you baght 100,000,000 Hardleathers for 100gp each = 10,000,000,000
The next day it rose 2gp
so you resell it at max asap
100,000,000 * 102gp = 100,200,000
200k profit from nothing! XD

I hope you get it now.

 

If you got it to rise 2gp in one day, that's great. It went down afterwards. And.. um.. 2gp is still only 2gp.

 

Wow uhm Mercant_in_the_dark....well....just pwned your manipulation thread.

 

I'm not saying that your manipulation can't work, the main problem is the items you are choosing.

A static junk item like lime slices or leather simply cannot match the profit potential of rune scimitars or dragonstones.

I'm already running an ad-hoc "Hot Item Watch" through my investing thread, and I'm developing an official ExchangeWatch Program to help set up a permanent Hot Item Watch.

I have thousands of daily visitors to my Ultimate Investing Guide's site, and once I release the MarketWatch I expect even more.

This is where our strategies meet.

By choosing items that are already "Hot", the large amounts of people who buy into the "Hot item" once I release it will actually help the item to rise in price even more - essentially, manipulating is a helpful side effect.

You obviously have a large influence throgh your manipulation thread, and if you combine it with my Investing initiative you'll get the profits and legality of Investing with the numbers of Manipulating.

You seem to have plenty of experience with the Grand Exchange, and I'd love to work with you. I'm currently taking applications for my ExchangeWatch team, and you'd be a great asset to have onboard
