Should ultimate frisbee be put into the olympics? I personaly bileve they should. There are TONS of college teams that travel arround to play other teams and it's getting bigger and bigger and i know alot of disc players would LOVE to see this be put into the Olympics.. pluss it would be VERY fun to watch!

EDIT: Another question...Do you think that schools should have a Disc Golf team? Some if not most schools have a golf team, and disc golf is the same thing but really takes a lot more effort and skill to be able to play... What do you think?

Are you talking about ultimate frisbee? Never heard of ultimate disc so I assume so :p But I don't know if the talent pool is big enough and I don't think it's become a world wide sport yet and not sure if it ever will.

Bump, would like to see some discussion on this topic :)

I'm not sure if it's true but i saw some comments on ultimate being in the olympics within the next few years.

The sport is rather big around my area in colleges, and i think even around the united states there are college teams that play. It's not a big thing in highschools but i could see that happening soon.

Also updated the OP with more questions

If Ultimate Frisbee should be put into the Olympics, then I think other sports which have their own categories should be in the
    olympics as well.

I don't think ultimate is quite a big enough sport to be in the Olympics and if it is so should many others.

Curling is in the Olympics. Table Tennis is in the Olympics. There's no reason it shouldn't be considering Japan has the second largest ulti scene in the world. Remember, Olympic hosts are allowed to choose one event in the Olympics and there isn't much else for them to add.

Ultimate Frisbee is a college/university sport for the most part, and isn't a huge championship level sport as far as I am aware of.
Saying Ultimate Frisbee should be in the olympics, in my opinion, is like saying Disc Golf should be, RC car racing, Battle Bots,
E-sports, Cricket, mini-golf, professional go karting, etc.

All of those things have a HUGE competitive atmosphere in different parts of the world.

There actually already is a World Championship that hosts over 30 countries. There are national championships in every country. There's a pro league in this US for sure and there is undoubtedly a lot across the globe. It could easily be argued that it has enough of a following to be in the Olympics over some other events.

WFDF. It’s bigger than you think. There are competitive club scenes for all ages, even those 50+. It’s global. I’ve been to Costa Rica, Ireland, both coasts of the US and soon to be Thailand for tournaments. I went to one in SoCal with over 5,000 people there, and that was considered a smaller year.

No, it’s not baseball or football, but it’s a sport that takes incredible athleticism and is growing

As a big soccer fan, it's not as boring as soccer. Like I love soccer, but it can get boring. There are no boring points in ultimate since each point matters so much.

i dont agree with this, it feels like ultimate is just a casual sport rather than a discipline, i guess you need talent for it but not same as an Olympic athlete

It's not as dull as soccer, which I love. I enjoy soccer, although it can be tedious at times. Because each point is so important in ultimate, there are never dull moments.

I do not think it takes precedent over some sports, like lacrosse and hurling (that have been in the Olympics before)
