I'll be voting Labour. I'll happily discuss my reasons in private if anyone is curious, but I think everyone posting their opinions here could soon turn this thread into a shit show. To provide a simple answer: it's the only reasonable option as far as I'm concerned, closely followed by the Liberal Democrats.

I was going to vote Conservative but May's ridiculous proposed Internet privacy laws are making me reconsider my choice. A vote other than Labour or Tory is pretty much a wasted vote in my opinion, and I don't particularly want to vote Labour for a plethora of reasons, so I'm in a weird Centrist middle ground at the moment.

I'm going to vote for Labour. They're about 1 point behind the conservatives.

I'm not voting this time around since I moved recently and haven't got around to re-registering myself to vote, but if I were to vote I'd probably vote conservative.

Not that I'm a fan of what they're planning, I'm just more comfortable with their bullshit than Labour's.

    UK Govt. General Election 2017

Polling has closed and counting has begun.

    Exit poll is out -

Exit poll showing that at this point predictions are that no party will hold a majority to form a government (however the Conservatives will be the biggest party).

If the above prediction is the case (or close enough) then we are looking at a hung parliament as in 2010 and a coalition being formed. Personally I think this would be a nightmare to deal with and I doubt whatever coalition is formed would last 5 years, we'd probably be looking at another election soon enough.

Voter fatigue is real. I agree that we're going to see another election. Whatever happens, I just hope May stands down.

    UK Govt. General Election 2017

Well, confirmed it's a hung parliament (which means that no party has reached the amount of required seats of a majority 326 in order to be able to form a government) and there is no possible way any party can attain a majority to form a government on their own.

What will happen from now is that the Conservatives will most likely try and form a coalition with another party that has gained enough seats (unlikely it will be Liberal Democrats again) that would add it up to 326 or higher, so this time it would probably be the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) in Northern Ireland as no other party has said they would even consider the idea of forming a coalition with them.

Or if the above fails then the opposition can try to form a government with a coalition again with enough parties together to form the majority of 326 or higher.

Finally, if no party is successful in forming a government, then everything aborts and another general election is held (the public will vote again).

Tory x DUP looking like that's gonna be it.

Praying that May steps down even though she said she won't be.

    UK Govt. General Election 2017

Queen's speech (which commences the opening of parliament) was delayed for the first time ever earlier this week. Scheduled for next Wednesday now.

Looks like the Conservative + Democratic Unionist Party (DUP of Northern Ireland) will go ahead as a coalition now then, not exactly what the current prime minister was hoping for at all.

Lot of people are calling for the PM to resign now (especially given the Grenfell Tower fire this week), I think the Conservative party needs new leadership really, but we'll see how it goes.
