    Is it possible to get someone's MSN IP like that? Because that's actually worrying.

    Uh..
    I would say that this doesn't really solve the problem because it is possible that someone can lose access to their MSN, yet not have their Sythe account compromised. Hence, they would still be posting from the same IP - but someone else would be in control of their MSN. That shouldn't be enough reason for a ban.
