UFC 229 McGregor vs Khabib

Who’s taking the W?

How do we think this is going to go down? Personally I think Kahbib’s last performance against Iaquinta was poor, especially his stand up game. This gets my hopes up that connor’s boxing skills will carry the fight.

Depends. If khabib approaches this like every other fight, and attacks with his hand down; Connor will punish him for in. Connor is undoubtedly the best at striking moving backwards that khabib has ever fought, and maybe the best he ever will fight.
But, if khabib can survive the first few rounds, Connor has a notoriously bad gas tank. If Connor gets taken down early in the 3rd I can’t see him making it out of the round.

I don’t think khabib has anything other that ground game that Connor needs to worry about, so TLDR Connor will win if he can avoid the take down, if not khabib will smother him.

 

Maybe it was just an off day for Khabib, but if he performs his ground game like he did vs Iaquinta I think it's in the bag for Connor. And you are spot on with Khabib stancing with low hands.

 

Yeah he put it a good shift in that fight, but considering iaquinta’s ranking, I thought he actually did quite well.
The problem with khabib is he is completely one dimensional, making him completely predictable. Connor doesn’t have that. He has awkward movements, ridiculous vision and amazing power for someone his size. If he can avoide the takedown, which is a big if, he’s got it in the bag.
Personally, I don’t enjoy watching khabib fight, he looks very amateur on his feet, and wrestling and ground and pound just isn’t my thing.

 

It all fucking depends on mcgregor man khabib is a fucking animal but mcgregor needs to take this shit serious... He isn't I see him occasionally with his training posts but I don't think he is taking this serious khabib can take his left hook and if he gets mcgregor on the ground idk man..

 

I disagree whole heartedly that he isn’t taking this serious. There are 3 things that seem to matter in Conor’s life to him; family, money & victory. I don’t think he’d throw away his future prospects and his legacy by not fully commiting to this fight.
I also don’t think khabib can take connors left. There have been multiple times khabib has been rocked by fights with less punching power than Connor, look at the MJ fight for example.
All this being said, I really do think this will be a great fight (if it happens, I think someone will pull out), and I can’t wait to see it.

 

Who loses more khabib or mcgregor.. Don't get me wrong I know mcgregor is special talentI always said he would be the next biggest thing... Khabib goes in just like Brock lesnar and wrestles you and pounds your face in.. I understand how people say mcgregors stand up is amazing but it is probably the best it has ever will be due to the Mayweather fight.. Don't act like khabib doesn't have a chin.. He has wanted this fight because this will make him prime time even though his character is religious and bland.. Mcgregor will have win if he can survive the rounds no matter how the fight goes... It will not go past 3-4 rounds because of mcgregor gassing.. When he gasses khabib will do the same thing Diaz did and capitalize mark my fucking words

If you read my earlier posts you’d see that I didn’t discredit khabib a ability, I did however call him one dimensional.
Yeah Conor has more loses, but mainly because he pushed himself into situations where he isn’t comfortable. Khabib hasn’t fought anyone that he didn’t already know he could beat (possibly with the exception of RDA). Anytime a challenge does present itself, he seems to go walkabout.
Comparing him to Brock I think does him a disservice. Brock is not a top tier fighter, and without his go go juice would be a shadow of the man he is now. Khabib is 10x the fighter Brock will ever be.

All being said, I hope the fight goes ahead; if you fancy a wager id more than happily accept

 

Brock lesnar will beat Cormier don't get it twisted.. His stomach was only his problem it's not a disservice that guy didn't need roids to beat hunt but UFC is All Business like I said I hope khabib doesn't go to decision because me and you both know how that would go down Look at Dj

 

A 41 year old Brock Lesnar, who hasn’t won a ufc fight (aside from the no contest) in 8 years, will not beat DC. DC is arguably p4p #1, perhaps the best wrestler in the world (khabib+/-) and a much better overall fighter. Brock is a juice head with a wrestling background, nothing more.

Like I said regarding K v C, if K fails to take it to the ground, I can’t see him winning with striking alone. Same goes in reserve, if C gets taken down, he doesn’t have the ability to overcome K.
I agree with you here, but in regards to Brock Lesnar I think you are in fact very, very wrong.

This fight is rediculouslly hard to predict but I predict McGregor in the 2nd but you never really know because it's the fight game afterall

Hi, I am really Glad that u have posted this. I am new around here and it brings me joy people have the same passions as myself. I would say McGregor will win it IF he knocks him out 1st round his movement and his throws punches so fast, On the other hand later McGregor takes to finish khabib it will start going the other way, I think Khabib is Very good on the ground! but regardless of who wins great respect to see McGregor coming back after a while out and taken on the best. I hope it is a good fight for us to see, If not PLEASE UFC MAKE MCGREGOR VS DIAZ 3 PLZZZZ

 

Do you think there will be a rematch? I would really like to see this performance again. The fight was just awesome, Khabib rocks.
