I think we should bring back the private forums and ranks. I have been told by many that the process was very fluent and good for the community. The voting should be re-implemented. Perhaps, ranks could also be re-established. These are just some things that would increase the productivity of guides being made. Something such as a 4-6 guide application form, which would be reviewed by Eric and Pen, and as the UE (guide writers) members increase, they could begin to vote as a whole. That would cause a much less bias opinion. Once it gains 20 members or something such as that, it would be full, and once one member began to become inactive that person removed and the next person on the approved list could be welcomed in, this way productivity stays high. Ranks aren't necessarily needed this way people don't do it just for the rank, maybe just a little perk, such as a user title and once you are off the UE team it's removed. Just things that would make people stay and create more guides. But two things I think should be re-established are the voting process and the application process.

 

Just to point out -- current guide quality is sub-Totse. Think about that.

 

It's possible for the ranks to be added again if the section gets more active, with better quality guides. If the rank is going to be added though, it's not going to be given through an application system. It's just going to be given to people that deserve it. Meaning, you could make twenty guides, and still not have the rank.
