Explanation of the trade: On Dec 10th, 2017, I purchased an OSRS account from Tyler. I purchased it for $850USD in bitcoin (.0618BTC).

How they scammed:
I was sucesfully playing on the account daily, for many hours since purchase. He wouldn't accept PayPal for some reason (I suspect now that it may have been so I have no protection, after his recovery), so I had to wait a few days whilst I sold my counter strike skins for BTC (this is all on discord chats which I can show, but seems trivial).

I was told all the history of the account etc. He seemed kind of 'cold' but I figured that might be language barriers, or just personality. Either way, it didn't matter to me as I really wanted the account (DUE TO THE PROTECTION OF BUYING IT FROM A MOD). I paid so much for the account, when I could have paid less than half the price for a better account, from a less trusted seller. He says I have buyer's remorse, however, I spent hundreds of dollars on skills and many hours of my time. I bought the account at a total level of 1918 and at the time of recovery (only one month later) I had levelled it to 2020 (this is the runeclan: tishri OldSchool XP Tracker - RuneClan). It doesn't seem like buyer's remorse, to me. I wanted it for personal use, and nothing else. If I was planning to resell it and recover it or whatever, I would have bought a much cheaper account (I suppose) as I did not need the security.

Ok, so the first time the account was recovered it was the 15th Jan 2018. My messages were probably somewhat cold, but I am sure you can sympathise with me as I had lost all of the gold I had purchased only a month prior (check my vouches). Tyler was helpful it seemed, and he recovered the account for me. The gold was gone. He was the only one who could recover it, as even he said he'd never recovered it - so who else would have the information (if he was indeed, the original creator)?

He said he did not recognise the new email, and was recovering the old email, etc.

I didn't change the email back to mine, as I did not want to alert Jagex (I live in Australia). Also, I figured I had no protection anyway because I had authenticator and it had been removed already. I wanted to check if my gold was still present. It was not.

I then said he can buy it back for me at whatever price, as I had lost thousands of dollars and was scared about the account being compromised. He had bought it back twice before, but coincidentally did not want to this time.

He then reversed the burden onto me, implying that I had buyer's remorse. He then claims he didn't imply this. I have no reason to ask for a refund after playing the account daily, and investing so much time and money. Buyable skills were trained, meaning I literally cannot get a refund.

I waited a while, and then messaged him asking for the email to be changed to mine. When he said yes 'send me the link', I tried but could not login. Recovery number two.

He then said 'You have explaining to do'. I still do not have access to the account.

Instead of attempting to assist me, he seems to have 'got in first' (Imgur: The magic of the Internet) and reported me for something I didn't even know that I was doing. If I was ban evading (which I am unsure what it is), then I accept my punishment if it was in breach of the rules. However, I paid $850USD for an account, which I no longer have, and also lost several thousand dollars (in gold from recovery).

I have since sold my remaining gold from other accounts, and cut my losses (as seen on my vouch thread).

The rest of the discord chat is only a few messages of him saying I am going to be banned. I still don't have access to the account I purchased for $850, as he would not give it to me. In saying that, I am unlikely to play on it again after I lost my money and it was recovered again.

I hope this is all in the correct format, I have spent a lot of time thinking it over and writing it. I appreciate everyone's time.

I have no issue refunding for the account or recovering the account for you as I have done in the past, However I believe you bought my account for the purposes of reselling it then asking me to recover the account while you gain the GP the users left on the account.

 

I promise you I did not sell it, or allow anyone else to use it. I bought it from you thinking it would be safe (why I had no problem paying such a large amount). I didn't want to cause any trouble.

I have vouches and I certainly would not want to destroy any reputation in the community that I have.

 

I am replying again as I think the mods don't want edits on these pages. If we can arrange a refund of sorts, or something to that effect then I will close this immediately. Unfortunately, I think I have been banned from sythe for the account I made when I was younger.

 

The account in question was made by me, on my home IP address and has been resold twice.

When the account was sold previously, I provided the ISP, my IP and a previous password.

Taking the advice of @video when I created the most recent sell thread I put in the thread that:

@video helped with the trade to provide currency transferring (BTC/Paypal) and didn't really MM the trade but acted as a MM.

On January 14th Tasty messaged me and asked me to recover the account for him. I had to do a second recovery appeal because the first one failed. I was also made aware by one of our staff members that in certain situations the first buyer also has the ability to recover accounts (however unlikely) He did not ask me to change the attached email to his own, so I left it on as the "creation" email.

After doing some searching I find out this user has had multiple sythe accounts banned during this time, and become under the impression he purchased an account from me in attempts to resell it and then claim it had been "recovered" so I can get the account back for him and he can keep the money on the account.

On January 22nd He asks me to change the associated email on the account to his email. No mention of not having access to the account during this time. (8 day period) immediately after I ask him if he had resold my account and then asked me to recover it, he starts claiming that "He cannot get onto the account".

He claims to not know who his old accounts are and that "it's probably his university IP" and "he was only 11 during the time those accounts were active" After the report a ban evader post was made he claims:

As I’ve said multiple times, I did not sell the account and I have sound reasoning to support this.

What are we going to do @Tyler ?

 

Also I omitted the ban evader post mostly, because it isn’t relevant to this claim. Using that post to suggest I am in the wrong is proposterous.

I have admitted I was likely in the wrong. I can also provide screenshots of where I say it may have been University ip (I am not tech savvy but if someone shows me a way to prove this then fire away)!!

 

• It was never stated I could not recover the account, and I do have the ability to, So your wrong.
• If your talking about switching the registered email to his when he bought the account that's exactly what I did.
  
• Since this is the third time you have posted this information after being warned, and then told youd get a 3 day ban you get a 3 day ban

I think that protector was stating that I was told the account was secure, but it was indeed insecure.

 

I have been advised and it is evident based on the recoveries, that the account is just way too unsafe for me to use it (even if Tyler manages to recover it again). The recovery information seems to have been disclosed. That is enough info to recover which 2 of your old buyers have (as I want to believe it wasn’t you). I will not even consider playing on it once you get it back and risk losing all my gp again to someone who has had the account before and can access it again.

As you said in your previous reply, it would be great if we could arrange a refund please, and all of this trouble can be put behind us.
