Two Factor Authentication now available

A very nice addition, as soon as I put btc into my sythe wallet I'll definitely be enabling this!

 

Can use iDevices as well if you have an iPod touch or something

Hm, never knew about two factor authentication. Seems interesting. I tried using Google Authenticator and Duo Mobile, I got the same error multiple times with each app: Error: The code you entered was not correct. Check you have a valid Google Two Factor authenticator app.

Setup is straight forward, so am I just one of the lucky ones that it doesn't work for?

It should work for everyone. Are you sure that the code you're entering is valid? (apparently, they become invalid every 30 seconds or so..?)

 

That's the error you'll get if your phone's time is manually set rather than synchronised automatically. Because the codes only last for 30 seconds, your time has to be spot on your timezone's time.

Terrific implementation and pretty straightforward. I would highly recommend telling people to download the application as a part of the instructions on http://www.sythe.org/twofactor.php.

You can actually link it directly with iOS and Android icons.

By the way, the part where it says you should write your backup code. I can already see a lot of people saving it to Notepad and then getting ratted, which would effectively give the hacker control of their account as well as their authentication. I would highly recommend that if this is kept rather than an administrator manually helping a user recover an account, then someone should be told to write down the first 28 digits and memorize the last 4.
