Twitter database hacked | Change your password

Just out of curiosity, how did they get hacked and through what method? It'd surprise me if such a big company didn't have multiple walls of encrypted protection failsafes.

Was this attack by a group? Or was it by an extremely intelligent individual?

 

Maybe they caught them/found it during their proccess and the hackers were only able to hack a "small amount" (considering how less 33 million is compared to the total existing Twitter accounts). Because I sincerly doubt the transfer of that many information will be done in 1 click. Also don't companies keep multiple different databases to avoid a one-hack-job-done?

Usually breaches like these are done with a group, but could be a very talented individual considering that only 33M accounts are leaked. The method, no idea maybe some next level SQL Injection, surely a company like Twitter would have good security but still enough big companies underestimate the power of hackers/hacking organisations/groups.
