[TUT] Latest SRL, SMART, and Reflection!

G'day all,

I've never done any sort of back end programming before, so I'm a complete noob here. lol.

Well, I get 90% of the way, and then I get stuck... The problem is that after I run the SVN checkout on the reflection folder, it doesn't create any "place inside plugins folder" directory. I don't know what information you need me to give you so you can help me out, so please ask away and I'll answer as best I can!

Should I maybe run the SVN update on the reflection folder?

Okay, I ran the SVN checkout on the reflections folder, and found that it didn't create the "place inside plugins folder" directory.
Then I right clicked the reflection folder and selected the SVN update option as instructed. It opened up the tortoise client that I installed earlier, and it gave me these results:

All looks good and no errors appear to have occurred. I clicked on show log, and this is the window that came up:




I clicked ok to close the tortoise client, and then navigated to C:\...(location of SCAR)...\SCAR 3.15\Includes\SRL\SRL\reflection and there is still no "place inside plugins folder" directory to be seen.
In folder options, I have set it so that I can see Hidden and System files and folders.

If I right click on the reflections folder, it gives me an option called "SVN Commit...". I don't know what it does, so I haven't done anything with it yet.


Do you have any idea's on how I should proceed?

what ya need to do,if ur using vista is go the the scar 3.15 folder and right click on it then go to security>edit and check the box "full control" and do this for all the names there on my pc its system and admin and lots of otha stuff just check al the boxes nd it should work,i think u have to do this with the tortoisesvn file aswel

hmm..now that ive got it working howcome there isnt a "place this inside plugins folder" ther is a anti random one instead..nvm i found it

 

ORLY? where'd ya find it? was it in the "...\SCAR 3.15\Includes\SRL\SRL\reflection" directory? I only have the anti random folder as well...

Got it. It was in the "...\SCAR 3.15\Includes\SRL" directory.... damn I'm blind >.<

 

Awesome guide, bt it says Error: Can't create directory 'C:\Program Files\SCAR Error: 3.15\Includes\SRL\ SRL\reflection\.svn': Access denied.

Jethr0x people asked you bout this in this thread but you never had a solution yet, it'd be great if you found one! Thanks.

Btw I am admin and all... why isn't it allowing me

EDIT: Founda solution 2 posts above just realized it, and it worked. But when I went in the folder there was no "place this inside plugins folder", only antirandoms :S Oh I found it

But now a problem, when I go on to the final part, and I.

"1. Put the Embedded_SMART.dll in: C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.15\Plugins\
2. Put the Smart.scar in: C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.15\includes\srl\srl\misc\
3. Put the Login.scar in: C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.15\includes\srl\srl\core\"

When I do steps 2 and 3 I overwrite the other files right? When I do that the way theres a tick on that folder; it turns into an exclamation mark? :S



It comes like that, same with the Login.scar Please help me :O

i get this when i press checkout
"couldn't move the plugins from the SRL folder to the plugins folder"
i have tried rightcliking and pressing "run as administrator" and i have rightcliked the scar folder and checked all the boxes but still get the same message...what do i do?

 

I run svn checkout on reflections folder, type http://scarreflection.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ in url of repository, and when i press ok, I get
"PROPFIND of '/svn/trunk':200 OK ( http://scarreflection.googlecode.com)"

Anyone know what is going on?

This is the solution for access denied. Soon as I changed all of permissions to full control I could do it.

 

When i chosen the subversion download nothing came up on the dos window :S

 

go to control pannel, click accounts(?). then there should be a check box about allowing programs to modify files... (I do not have vista, only from what i have heard). You check\uncheck it (opposite of what it currently is), and restart your comp.

you are looking in the wrong folder... look in the reflection folder >.>

 

I get a blank black window when i click checkout,what is it jeth?

 

i created relfection folder. did the SVN checkout the google website. but the place inside plug in folder didnt show up with the download!!! please help me.

I dont get the option for SVN on the reflection folder. I have Vista Home premium. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Dude, I right click on my reflection file, click SVN Checkout, it opens the address thing, type in all the stuff you told us to, and it comes up with:


Error Can't create directory 'C:\Program Files\SCAR
Error 3.15\Includes\SRL\SRL\reflection\.svn': Access is denied.
