Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to my guide on building a Runescape Private Server. Before I get spam I willl mention some guides i read that helped me on this. I God Iliki on Moparscape forums guide, and coding guides on moparscape upon many commands XD

Ok so lets start this by explaining a bit about myself. my name is Shawn..I am 13 and am the owner of LagoonScape. I have been playing Runescape and RS2 Private Servers for about 3 years. Servers i play or have played

Ok so the first part of my guide is No-IP
Step 1. Go to www.no-ip.com and register a account
Step 2. 1ce you have registered you should see a blue rectangle that says download. click this and it should bring you to download.com. click download now.
Step 3. now it should be downloaded/installed now open it and sign in on the downloaded part...with ur email and password you made.
Step 4. click in the little box with words it should say click here to add or edit hosts click there then it will change to 1ce you finish click here to refresh and a page should appear. type in for the service name type in name for your server for instance mine is lagoonscape
Step 5. Ports have them both 45394
Step 6. For the toggle menu choose which you would like such as no-ip.biz this is up to you.
Step 7. Press Add host at bottom and hit the refresh on your logged on thing and you are all set with no-ip!
Getting JDK
Step 1. Go here http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp and click on the JDK 6 Update 6 and download the offline first and if it does not download then do the online download install etc. and you are all set with Java!
Getting a Source
Step 1.A source is what runs your server. let me cover getting a source. basicly a good source is the Zdiddy base source but there is a lot i suggest going with a source that isnt much coding if you are new but if you have coding experience i suggest ZDR Base source. but with the zdr source you need a specific kind of client or it will freeze. Note-BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD ANYTHING VIRUS SCAN IT!!!! oh yes and it can still be hidden in java encoding so when you download do a specific virus scan 1ce you decompress the file. Moparscape.org/smf is a good site to find a source or client look in the downloads section.
Decompression of a source/client
Step 1. Basicly you need WinRar for it. download this file on rarlab.com
Getting a Client
Step 1.Well if you are a new coder i suggest either the silabsoft client or the moparscape client.

For other clients which are for the more experienced coders look on moparscape.org/smf in downloads section or search on google or rune-server.com(Must Register)
PortForwarding Help
How to portforward and what is port forwarding?
Portforwarding is opening up ports so others can connect to your server.
and basicly its pretty simple but i can only explain for NetGear Routers because thats what i have. if you have another kind of router look on portfowarding.com. ok so for netgear users in the address bar of your internet type in 192.168.1.1 and type in admin for user and password for username unless a specific password was placed on your router then type in that password. now click port forwarding/port triggering. click add custom service. for the service name make it your service names. for the ports have both of them 43594. make it TCP and for the ip click run on your start menu type cmd then ipconfig it will say your ip such as 192.1.1 etc..
type that in there.
Click add service and your port forwarded.
and to make sure the 43594 port works click on control panel then click security then click on the firewall click advanced click add port for the name have RSPS or something and for port type 43594 and click add.
Simple Coding
How to make owner admin and mod. open up a players file go to where it says rights for owner type 3 admin 2 and mod 1 and file save oh ya make sure they are off before you do this if they aren't logged out it wont work and 1ce you save they can log back on.
How to change the source so it does not say the sources name but says your servers name
Go into the client.java and press cntrl + h type in the name of your source in the top type in box and name of your server in other and click replace all save it and compile your server.
