This is extremely cool, but from what I've heard, it's not actually a hologram and is just a variations of Pepper's ghost trick.

Either way, something I'd definitely love to see!

I don't listen to rap, but this is a very clever system. It could be like the Gorillas use(d) where they had "hologram" type things on stage.

This set up is rather simple and been used at disney parks for awhile now. http://imgur.com/hc5ln Gives a good example, this is probably getting a bunch of hype because it's also tupac and everyone love that dude.

I'm not even a fan of rap etc but that's so amazing. I hope in the future we can see other genres taking advantage of this technology at concerts/festivals.

Imagine a live Beatles "reunion" :D

It was the craziest thing I've seen I was smiling the whole time and awed in amazement in it all.Wonder what family members thought etc..Btw they took out his line "KILL-Illuminati" in the beginning if anyone noticed when he rapped. But it'd be weird seeing your dead friend singing with you you'kno?Wonder what his mom thought..etc He's dead but using him for money? Not moral imo but for a one time thing sure was amazing.

No, this is fucking awesome. The video that came out on the 26th had a top comment about free premium porn, but the video is now copy-righted by Coachella, and yes, the premium porn works ;)

edit: oh it was this video hah

Its been going on for awhile. To be honest, holograms are a novelty. I wouldn't want to pay just to see a lights show. The point of a live show is rawness, not prerecorded/mastered/edited songs.

That and Eminem's introduction were the only pre recorded parts if you watch some of the footage you can see they introduced Eminem into Coachella with holograms and it was an amazing way to enter. They used the holograms to interact with the audience and from the reaction of the crowd it definitely worked both when Eminem comes in and 2pac does his part on stage. I would definitely have paid to see that concert but nobody knew to expect 2pac to appear and to be honest although 2pacs part was prerecorded/ mastered/ edited you can still see the interaction with the crowd, the stage, and the audiences reaction which still do add rawness to a concert. It was a small portion and Imo it would definitely be worth going to. Anyways I heard Nate Dogg is up next for the next Coachella concert he was supposed to be in the first but 2pac was brought in for the first one instead.

Watched it live, and by far the weirdest part was him at the beginning saying "what's up snoop, what's up dre, what the fuck is up coachella!"

No idea how they got his voice and created specific words/patterns that weren't in his music. Weirdly enough it took two days to hit the front pages of news. Someone actually posted a topic about this a day after it happened.
