I would not suggest buying a runescape account unless it's from a extremely trusted member or a staff member. Sythe uses vouches which you receive from other members when you complete a successful trade. I would advice you do not purchase a account from someone unless they have a extremely high amount of vouches. If you need any help or have questions feel free to add me on skype or msn as I don't wanna see you get scammed.

Like MMA stated, account trades are incredibly risky. Basically, any account can be recovered back by the owner. It almost always comes down to whether the seller will actually recover it, not whether he can. That's why, again, as MMA stated, you should purchase from someone with a lot of vouches and previous account sales. Sure, they may ask for a higher price, but it's worth it in the long run.

There are threads created by moderators here, here and here that state all accounts are recoverable, but give some handy hints for account trading as well.

Alternatively, it may be safer to create your own account and head over to the skill training section and pay others to train your account. It could be slightly less cost effective however it's much safer.

Pretty much what Brendan and MMA said.

However, you can also use an Official Middle Man which improves the security of the trade and means you won't get scammed in terms of you handing the money over and them not actually giving you any details of the account. However, like Brendan said accounts are ALWAYS recoverable by the original owner. Use your witts, if the account looks shady or the seller looks un-trusted then don't do the trade! Save your time and money.

Here's the Official Middle Man thread (there's some free ones!): http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1302647

Good luck buying! And don't worry, not everyone is a scammer although there are a big majority of people who ruin it for others. Just use your witts and you can never be too careful!

The links Brendan provided are great so go and read over them and educate yourself on the risks.
