I was just wondering if Trillian is a proof-worthy messenger.

It displays the email on the blue bar of who I am talking to.

I was wondering the same thing with pidgin, but i made a report using screenshots of it and it was legal, it also shows the email in upper left, so im assuming yes.

 

As long as it shows the e-mail and it's not on a "viewer" (chat logs, etc..). To be on the safe side just use normal msn>.>

 

Needs to show toolbar and email address i believe.

 

Thats cool, considering if you actually looked at the image, you can see both the taskbar at the top (idk what you mean by 'toolbar) plus the two emails, both mine and the person I am talking to which was explained in the thread.

 

What if you don't have msn because it doesn't work on your comp?

I use Pidgin becuase it keeps logs for months and just stores them - great for reporting.

 

We don't accept logs..

 

I would assume so if it shows the relevant info, By the way, how do you get the start bar at the top instead of bottom? Windows 7?

 

Right click your taskbar and make sure lock the taskbar isn't checked then just drag and drop your toolbar to the top.

The only reports that I look at are the ones with MSN/AIM pictures. Just use MSN like everyone else and make it easier on us.
