Transforming a internal harddrive into a portable harddrive?

hi guys, so recently my desktop died and i have to get a new motherboad/power supply and probably a new processor.

so in the meantime i was looking to buy a portable harddrive case and put my hard drive in it but ive been looking and im not sure what i need,
my hard drive is this one:

so if some1 could help me by linking me to some affordable portable harddrive case that i could put my disk in and it would work as a portable hard drive , it would be much appreciated!!

 

You will need to get some form of hard drive caddy

well it is to use with a laptop if that makes any difference? :d

but yea, this one is for 2.5" and my HD is 3.5"

 

You could just build your new PC (with the working parts) and then put your hard drive in that, and then transfer it over.

 

i plan on doing that but thing is i dont really have the liquidity atm to afford powersupply + motherboard + processor =/ so id get that in the meantime

 

Hmm, I suppose if you had a spare desktop or had a friend that would allow you to temporarily put your HDD into his PC then you could do that. I can't really think of any other way at this moment in time.
