How many digits is the steam id...go into a server, type status in console, and then look for your name. Next to it will be STEAM_0:0:12345678 for example. count up the part that is like 12345678 and tell us how many digits there are.

the digit is how old the account is. ie when the account was made. the older the account many find that it is better or worth more especially because the lower the digit the less were made. also it allows one to hack on it without getting called as often because once someone saw the digit they would assume they are just really good.

Type status in console, find your name, the STEAM_ next to it is your STEAM ID.
