    I've unbanned Jefe, and Japser remains unbanned as well because there is currently insufficient evidence for a ban on either side.

    I am curious if anyone has actually tried to do a drop trade within 5 minutes of becoming a member for the first time? It seems reasonably likely to me that there is some lag time between becoming a member and the thread that watches the ground knowing which items need to be commuted.

    In this case it may well be that both parties acted in good faith and the game destroyed the 100M

    The way it used to work is the player would never see the 25k+ money drops because it limits you at 25k. Now it gives you the money as 25k, likely provided you haven't hit your limit. The guy was trying to avoid a limit in place and thought he would test it out with a big trade instead of trying it out with 50k. He was trying to cheat the system, but most people know that the trade limit limits drops too. I even know that and I don't play RS.

    Jefe, nor anyone else, should ever even consider drop trading as a form of a transaction. They both were dumb, but much more so Jasper for even coming up with the idea and lying about "OH I DO THIS ALL THE TIME" I think that line is grounds enough for a ban. He should provide proof of doing this before and it working.

    even if it was due to his error, there's no grounds for a ban on the basis that there's no loss on anyone else's part and a lack of malice on his part

    you can trade bils (in cash) on a brand new f2p acc, the only limit is on bottable f2p things, e.g ores clay lobsters etc

    wasn't jefe mis-lead into believing this was a safe method of trading though? i see it comparable to a rsps seller telling the buyer there's 0 chance of being banned (jasper is also yet to provide proof from what the public can see that he's done 'plenty' of these drop trades'

    You can trade p2p-> f2p in any amount on a new f2p. However the reverse is not true. The limits are on the f2p account: how much they can drop and how much they can trade, not how much they can pickup or receive.

    f2p accs on 07 can trade as much gold as they want (give or receive) it's not rs3, the f2p limit on 07 is solely for items that are bottable.

    There are trade limits on new f2p accounts regarding most items but they can trade/receive as much gold as you want though, I use them all the time for trades on here

    Even if you can trade, it's the drops which are in issue. A review of osrs official forums seems to back it up

    If you want to make a video where you make a new f2p character and have it acquire 50k then have it drop 50k and wait for that money to appear on a second game instance then pick it up in the second instance, that will be proof.

    As far as jefe is concerned the contract was completed and he has lost nothing save the annoyance of a dispute.

    If the hypothesis that the game ate the gold is plausible then we can put the case to rest on that basis.

    On the other hand if we do rule out the hypothesis then we still have no evidence either way to say whether jefe used a memory hack or jasper was lying about only getting 25k. It just comes down to one persons word against another's.

    No matter the course without further evidence no action is possible.
