Tougher on racists

I suggest there should be a three strikes (or less) rule on racism. Racism infractions never go away and if any 3 racist remarks are made, no matter what forum, even spam, the person is banned permanently.

Censorship isn't something that we like to have. If we are to allow people to express how they appreciate racial equality, or respect for homosexuality, etc, we must also allow people to express any feelings against them as well. Obviously they will be infracted if it gets way out of hand, but it's not like we can shun people for their opinions.

 

If people are racist, I infract them for it. The temporary ban for building up five infractions is enough in my opinion. If they come back and repeatedly do the same thing after their temporary ban, I'd probably permanently ban them.

Using racial slurs is not required by anyone to get their opinions across. They are just words to hurt and bring down an entire race.

I disagree.
If somebody mentions something, or says a word that could be construed as racist, I don't think they should be infracted unless they were also flaming or spamming.
Ex:
I don't think saying "Blacks shouldn't be allowed to drive, they are always bad drivers with annoying music" should be infractable.

If people aren't flaming or spamming, they should be allowed to express their views, however odd they might be.

I agree. I think racism is retarded and means nothing. I do not know why people get so mad about it. I really do not.

 

Racism is something that cannot be against the rules in this context, because it would contradict with freedom of speech on this forum.

 

umm okay so how about everytime someone says all races are equal, they get infacted too? everyone has thier own views, and as long as you dont cross the line you should be able to express them. the problem is, where is that line? well, its different for everyone. all in all, i'd call this idea flawed.
