Total RS players

Anyone have any figures for avg. number of players online at any stage during RS history? Such as an avg figure per year, since say 2004? Also if you can factor in bot percentage that would be useful.

Just curious about when the peak was, and how different times compare to today. Cheers

 

There probably wont be a player number if anyone does have one; but rather an account number.

I mean the highest was probably like 200-300k most likely in 2008-2011, when the game was at its peak, right now 07 caps at like 15k and rs3 is the same...

 

You can approximate this using things like google adwords, alexa, other pageview sites, etc. The rswiki might also have data. You could also use archive.org or whatever to view the homepage at several times in history and approximate from that. Actual data is probably only available for a cost; you could ask jagex though.

 

Back in the good days (2006-2009) I remember having 200k online guess most of them were bots anyway

You can check Google to see when the peak was, but you can't get an actual amount of players.
