The laws are different here. Not illegal at all to torrent. As long as you don't host you can torrent as much as you want.

I don't mind if you mention the name of torrents or do an indirect link, like a link to a search results page from piratebay (because how is this different to a link to a search results page from google?) But no direct links to torrent files and no magnet links.
