I kind of think this is a bit ridiculous. If you like Eminem, then you should definitely be able to enjoy other rappers too. If you find it hard to get into other rappers, then you probably aren't listening to the right ones. I can understand if you just aren't much of a hip-hop fan, but don't judge a whole genre based on the shit that's popular nowadays. A lot of rappers suck big time, so you have to look around if you actually want to find something you like.

I don't actually like Eminem because he's popular, I only like his older stuff. His collaborations with Rhianna etc just don't do it for me either. If you can name rappers with a similar style and flow to Eminem then I'll gladly have a listen. But I've listened to 90% of the rappers listed as other peoples answers and I just can't seem to get in to it. I am very open minded to music - being from the hardcore/metal scene I understand how frustrating it is when people generalise the whole genre, but honestly I've tried. Name a few and I'll definitely be up for having a listen.

 

I wasn't insinuating that you just liked him because he's popular. I just meant that a lot of people who aren't much into hip-hop think it's all like what's played on the radio. I'll admit that Eminem's flow is unique and there aren't many other rappers like him. Hip-hop is all about style though and there are so many different kinds. What is it exactly that you like so much about Eminem? Hip-hop does sometimes take time to get used to and appreciate it. I used to hate it until a few years ago, but now I can't get enough of it. Here are a few songs you might or might not like.

 

Didn't like C-Mob's voice, I prefer a more 'clean cut' sound.
Marco Polo was a bit simple, I feel like anyone could rap it.
Just didn't like AZ at all, not sure why.
I don't really have time to go through them all atm, but that's a few reasons I don't like most rap/hip-hop.

The main reasons I like Eminem are probably just because he's a lyrical genius. He's quick, snappy and he plays around with the words if that makes sense. His lyrics are harsh and controversial - which probably helps with connecting with them.
